how are they in your town?

I'd much rather see plastic pieces on ledges and railings, rather than unsightly scratching and black scuff marks left from skateboards.

Streets are for walking, traffic and commuting to and fro, not a playground for douchy skaters.

I'm not saying I don't like skateboarding, I think it's rather cool. It's just that I think there's a place for it, and that's not on the street. It's vandalising public property, so I think it's selfish of a skater to willingly destroy something when there's plenty of other places to skate without ruining something that countless other use, and in some cases rely on.
