Canon Xm2 / Gl2 For Sale

Ok, so I've come to terms I won't be filming anymore so I'm going to sell my camera. I was going to put it on eBay but I figured you guys should have a chance to grab it if you want.

It's a Canon XM2. It'll include my Raynox MX-3000PRO semi-fisheye and fixable light. The camera is all in good working order, it's a little beat up looking from three or so years of filming. The only main issue is the heads do need cleaning often with a head cleaning tape or footage is occasionally corrupted. I'm sure this can be repaired, I've just never got round to it. I just ran a cleaner tape through each time before filming. The quality is great; colours are awesome and works really well in low light.

It's 3CCD, has 20x optical zoom, 2 channel audio control.

Mate I think you could get more for it than that. If you do put it on eBay just bear in mind you could probably get up to £800 with those accessories.

I guess keep an eye on this one to see what it goes for, market research n shit.

Yeah, I probably will end up putting it on eBay. I checked all the other XM2s but am just worried the issue with the heads will deter people. I'll give this a day or two and then put it up there.

All you need to do is say "Cleaned with head cleaner regularly", just stick a few in with it too and as soon as you have that positive feedback you're good haha.

If I wasn't up to my eyes in crippling debt I'd take it off your hands for 1) Nostalgia and 2) I do fuckloads of my own filming now for projects and hate booking out uni cameras. Good luck with selling it dooood

dude I would take it off you're hands if I had the cash but all the money im saving right now is going towards releasing dvd. also how are you going to capture all the delayed reaction footage now?

I wouldnt say its been used for 3years, you must of filmed with it around 10 times max, and the rest of time its been knockin around your bedroom. thats pretty much as new.

the issue with the heads is frustrating, if anyone buys it from here, dont reuse old tapes in it or it wont film anything atall as we found out. use new tapes and always run a head cleaning tape for 10secs only just before uses. we didnt before and lost the louzy vs morbid skit we was filming...well not filming, pointing the camera in the direction of a live play lol.

Why? I could really use with this money man, if I sold it for £700 it'd wipe out all the debt I'm currently in and I can start saving for a car or put it towards getting tattooed or some shit \m/ -_- \m/


I can use my parents camera for capturing stuff. Sometime in the future I'll probably get a HC3 or something cause they're a good size but it's really not a priority for me right now.
10 times though? Ha, it's been used a fair deal in it's time. I used to film a lot of London hardcore shows with Dan back in 06.

well Hxc shows I didnt know about but for DR its not been many.

I mean after all them years of hardwork from everyone involved in Delayed Reaction it all goes to nothing because editing generate damage isnt a priority for you. I can understand you're a busy person.
you have alot on in life and cant find the time to finish the project.

it wasnt a proprity in 2007 when you released the trailer, and last year you said you would start editing it this year. but no effort has been made. I think its pretty selfish you wont let anyone else edit it untill it becomes a priority for you. which I cant see happening ever to be honest and if you can be honest with everyone I know you cant see it happening eather.

dont get me wrong you are the man for the job, id love you to edit it. but it just anit going to happen. so this is something iv been talking about for some time. since DR has 4 editors, why dont you let Baz edit it with guidence by You, Louzy and Me. Baz can make it in your vision/ideal layout aslong as you give him the guildlines, and can come in every now and then to check his progress and change anything you disagree with. iv told baz I will teach him everything he needs to know and he isnt that bad at the moment. not to shit on baz but all he does is work, come home, sit on the pc, why not put good use to this time at home. he has everything DR need to finish the DVD once and for all.

it makes alot of sence and everyone will be happy.

id buy it if you shipped to the US. but id sell it on ebay I sold my gl2 last year for 1400$ and all it had was an extra battery and fish eye lens

Not a big camera buff, but what are the heads? Is it the things that read and record to the tape? Can they not be fixed prior?

if you're feeling a guilt trip its not because of me, its because you know you're the only person stopping the dvd from ever being finished, all the hard work is over, you wouldnt know about that, and all thats left is editing it together to a Hxc music soundtrack and everyones fucking happy....but the way things are it just means it was all for nothing. what a waste, thats why it sucks for everyone else apart from you.

yeah you're busy, so are alot of people, deal with it, make time, cut down the time you spend on here and myspace by 3 hours aweek and thats plenty of time to start somthing you claimed you'd start all them years ago.

all I asked was if you would let one of the other "Team" members do the job you have put onhold until you have that full time career and all that other free time that comes along with it.....

I dont think proposing the only solution to a current problem is unfair of me at all. if people who are aware of whats going on wasnt so afraid of upsetting you im sure they would agree with it too. not that it would do any good since its dealin with you. but if you cant do the job give it to someone who can, there is 3 other editors in the team who could do it, not that I want too but I could do the whole dvd in a month. but its still "No, I'll do it next year when I have time" in afew years you wont even care at all about makin a DVD, you're pretty close to that now anyway and even then you'll still be saying no one else is allowed to edit it.

such a shame...
