Pc Won't Recognize My New External Hard Drive

I have a BUFFALO DriveStation External USB 2.[address redacted] which when plugged to the pc doesn't show up in my computer like the other hard drives do... I've been looking for help and tried some things but nothing has work and I'm nearly out of free space on my other hard drives...

any one have any ideas?

I thought those came with an install disc?

Is the drive more than 2kb big?

Anyway, I think my Buffalo installed itself, but you might want to try looking for drivers on their website. Meh, I can't really help you it appears.

Follow the instructions for formatting a secondary hard drive.

The drive just didn't come formatted, it happens all the time. Drivers certainly aren't the problem as hard drives are plug and play.

I figured it out before I read this but yeah it needed to be formatted and its done Image file not present in the recovered backup
