I have a BUFFALO DriveStation External USB 2.[address redacted] which when plugged to the pc doesn't show up in my computer like the other hard drives do... I've been looking for help and tried some things but nothing has work and I'm nearly out of free space on my other hard drives...
any one have any ideas?

Anyway, I think my Buffalo installed itself, but you might want to try looking for drivers on their website. Meh, I can't really help you it appears.

What do you know, format is actually the answer...
http://www.ehow.com/how_6026_format-hard-drive.htmlFollow the instructions for formatting a secondary hard drive.
The drive just didn't come formatted, it happens all the time. Drivers certainly aren't the problem as hard drives are plug and play.
