I'm trying to buy a step down ring? I think that's what it's called

a ring that makes a 37mm lens fit onto a 52mm camera..

I found a step down ring on ebay and it says

"TO THE SIDE OF THE CAMERA: 52mm
TO THE SIDE OF THE Filter: 37mm"

is this what I'm looking for???

I have to use two step-up rings to get my Raynox to fit my threads. Looks fine. I'd give you the specs, but I'm not at home right now.

thats correct, I messed that one up.

get a 52-58 step up and your set.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Raynox-MX-3000-Wide-Fi...93%3A1|294%3A50

apperently they have gone up a few bucks since I was shopping for them :/

if u wanna make it wider for more of a skating look, look up raynox mod and u can make it way wider.

Yeah I read some of the mod tutorials. They all seemed legit too, but I think it's pretty pointless unless you film lotssss of skateboarding.

And damn, the price on the Raynox has went up about $40.

I need to get a step down ring because I believe that baby death lenses only come in 37mm

the mx3000 shit or whatever it's called looks nice but it might not be good for skateboarding and shit

if u have a camera with a 52mm thread, its better to get a death lens anyway.

mod the raynox imo.

EDIT: the point is that 52-37 is a big step down, defeating some of the fish eye effect.

Is that the one that rattles when your riding on your gnar stick?

The lens just doesn't have enough magnification, skating-wise. Lines and rail-bangers, specifically.

Do you have to own a fancy fuck camera to use a raynox mx-3000?

I might mod my Raynox, but I'm not sure yet. Adding filters in between the fish eye and my VX's lens increases the field of view a bit, but adds a decent about of vig.

Nah, you'd just need to use more drastic step-ups I think.
