Me and Jo have been talking about getting a 360 and selling the wii.
I have a few questions, can I play movies off if (not DVD but avi's etc), If I can, then can I add a usb HDD or does it have to be on the internal one?
Can you install codecs and software?
Can you buy skins for it (not stickers, but plastic skins)
Also can you install skins (software ones)
Also when you play MMO games do you have to pay a monthly fee to the game sever like you would on W.O.W, or is it free once you pay for gold online thingy.
Also can you tell me reason why I want to go town tomorrow and buy one...

You can stream AVI direct from your pc.
They update it sometiems with codecs, u cant just install wht you want.
yeah u can get skins for them, theres loads.
yeah, theres loads of different themes u can downloa for the dashboard, but they cost.
I dont know of any MMO's, maybe Fibnal fantasy? Id assume its monthly fee.
Id get it, the wii is shit.

if so that kind of shit, as I want to save money, and dont want to pay for my sever being on all night so I can steam movies...

With the subscription to Live, you wouldn't have to pay a subscription to play an MMO. But there really aren't too many. The largest I know of would be Fable and Fable II.

Jo has seen PSO, and she would be happy playing that all day,.
I just want to have some reasons why to buy it apart from games... Like the Media Center.........
So I need to have a PC running to watch a movie? and can the USB ports taken an extra USB hard drive?

you can hook up a usb device loaded with movies and music and stream from that, so a usb hdd should suffice
and good choice on going for an elite, best to spend the money and get one since it's very rare for an elite to get probs

FUCKING MINT, so I;ve got a 1TB usb HDD full of movies, so I should be able to plug this in and play movies?

yeah totally, I think currently the rrp is about £229.. but off course try and get a game or two with it to get a bit of a bargin as it were
also when it comes to xbox live, if you get a card for 3 months or a year dont put it on right away, cos you get a months free live outta the box

Im coming offline now but plz post reason why to buy one, as I will check in the monring, before I go town......... im 50 50 at the moment........... well 45 55 to the xbox as my pc is the shit for gaming, but I want to play my other friends online (who all play xbox)
and I want to sell my media center pc, and have something sexy looking.

I used to watch .avi movies by plugging my external hd into my xbox 360. It only worked if you were connected to xbox live though.
