well, I received the package in the mail, and I said a while back that I would review it.

keep in mind, I criticize to the extent of a perfect dvd, not just a 'homegrown' dvd.

so here are the notes I took:

the production of the case, cover, printing, photoshop on the back, looked extremely professional. very impressed with how this aspect looked. the top of the actual dvd is of awesome quality. shrink wrapped too, which even though it may not be everything, ands quite the touch of professionalism. 9/10

the dvd menu was of great quality. the highlight/select buttons were custom, which is another minute detail. 10/10

stunts: had my favorite parts, but there were a few too many boring/repetitive places. dont get me wrong, there are some badass stunts in this dvd, but after a while, the boring stunts made me forget about the awesome stunts I saw at the beginning. then towards the end, the stunts picked back up again. 6/10

editing: the editing was very sharp and flowed really well. there was a section that had some coloring issues, as for the skating section, it started out with a sepia-ish type tone, then flip-flopped between full color and the sepia tone. I was thinking a consistent tone would work better than going back and forth with these. also towards the beginning I noticed that there was a preference toward using the negative coloring. this hurt my eyes. no likey. 7/10

skating: im not really one to be a critic on this. I really cant say much except for my rating. 7.5/10

camera work: great angles on almost everything. I say almost everything because there were a few clips where you can tell its really old footage. the skating section really stood out to me in camera work. a lot of good time lapses and silhouette shots too. 8/10

video quality: 95% ace. like Al said in his review, most of this was shot in HD and 3CCD. there are only a couple clips that look like they were filmed several years ago while messing around. I really cant criticize for that. just early footage that easily qualified to be part of the DVD. 9/10

music/audio: there was one clip where I had to mute my television. im not going to give the stunt away but it involved a noisy treadmill. I watching it again by being prepared, but still didnt work out. the slow mo was awful. thats about the only criticism I have about that. the music was too nu-metal ish. not my thing, but editing worked well with it. 7/10

Overall, I give this DVD a 7.25 out of 10.

great job for a first dvd. mad impressed. and for someone to go as viral as you have, I have mad respect for the Horse. this DVD is definitely worth checking out. buy this dvd, support this guy. he loves what he does and this DVD shows that

I think its good to have reviews in different threads. Otherwise it would be easier to miss. quality of reviews have been good and informative. I hope web clips would get the same treatment.

In both reviews the dvd sounds interesting, too bad I dont have a credit card.
