Sites + Hits

Im doing a school paper about internet marketing and I would need some information and statistics how getting on popular videosites have affected the traffic on your homesite. Or how well promoting through community sites as facebook or myspace has worked.

Also any ideas or thoughts about different forms of internetmarketing are appreciated.

Yeah, I have some. Been trying to get traffic to mysite www.whiteowlvideo.com Heres 2 ways:

1. http://www.sexyemilie.com/ If you go to the site it instructs you to give out a urladdress to your friends, chatrooms, forums. The more people you get to go there the more pics of this chick you get unlocked. They are getting 10000 hits a day! alot of people seam to like this chick. I want to try this for my site.

2. another is youtube. By putting a pic of a hot chick in the verymiddle of your video, that pic will become your vids thumbnail of your vid. I did this and it went up to 5,000 views a day. 400 of those went to my website. Youtube banned me for it so I have to get a new account.

Post a response when you get your paper done if you find some stuff.

Stats: He gets 10,000 hits a day
I got 500 hits a day

I suck at marketing man, I've been on plenty of sites but always fucked up when I put my water mark on.

Plus when I was on tv is when **** kicked me off there server, hadn't had a site since then.

I know cross promotion is how I find out about most of the sites I enjoy.

wwtdd.com works with roxx.com or something like that. At the bottom of wwtdd.com they have links to other popular articles on roxx.com. Filmdrunk.com, withleather.com, realtalkny.com all belong to the same web ring if you will and one's popularity leads to the success of the other affiliate sites.

Not sure if thats the kind of examples you want, but I'll keep posting the more I find.

if your video is offensive or outrageous, and your watermark is clear, you can expect about 1 to 5 percent of all viewers will check out the URL shown in the video.

Promoting through myspace is a lot harder nowadays. They control external links and block most shit. So you're best shot would be to get people to copy and paste your URL into their browser.

mabey post the paper when your done? mabey film festivals, tattoo a bums fourhead with your logo.

Hahah, I would have bet that as well, but I think it turned out to be okay. It wasnt that big of thing anyways. Smallest of the 5 excercises we have for that course. Three a4´s worth of text, so it didnt go very deep in to the subject.

I first explained the web 2.0 phenomenon and generally why its good for marketing and how it works. Then I explained how to marketing can be done in youtube and facebook. That stuff is probably very basic for all of us here. Then I had some stuff about how the most effective way of web2.0 marketing is to use different sites together, youtube, facebook, myspace, irc-galleria, digg, stumbleupon, niche forums etc.

Anyways, now I have to do a case study about CRM. Damn the goddamn case is allready 22 pages and I also have to study lots of theory to complete it.
