from watching the 'stunts' in this video it just seemed like you guys throw yourselfs into/and off things and fall over at the end, without any type of skill.

just not my type of stunt where the end goal is to hurt ones self.

I disagree.
I find that its more entertaining, the more the person gets hurt and that it doesnt really matter if the idea is new or creative. its all about if there having fun, thats what homegrown is about.

yeah, but dont u think people getting hurt doing a stunt thats already been done, is more entertaining than someone doing a stunt thats new and creative..but doesnt get hurt?

no, a stunt is a dangerus act performed to look like it results in injury but infact was done in such away the stuntman can walk away from it unhurt.

somewhere along the lines. people got confused and decided the goal to hurt yourself to preform a good stunts

now a real stunt that wasnt ment to result in injury but goes wrong can be funny. but forceing it is just sad.

ie. jumping from a building onto a big mattress.
Were the aim is for somthing to look dangerous, but really isnt and in the proccess they dont get hurt.

and most of the videos ive seen produced from the groups that are on this fourm dont do ""professional stunts"... they purposly get hurt...ie. M.I.A .. that guy getting thrown into a glass pain..

its all a matter of personal opinion...

I enjoy people getting hurt on purpose or not. becuase of the shock value. appreciating the large set of balls they carry around all day.
and
you enjoy people not getting hurt, or doing somthing that appears dangerous.

iv never preformed a stunt in my lifetime where the goal is injury and im one of the most respected stuntmen on this site.

EDIT: on the webby, extreme man debate, its all a matter of personal opinion, if you like self harm or intentional pain or any other kind of stunt work. There's no debate on what is true "homegrown" as a homegrown production could be anything.

Bottom line is it's, each to their own.
