Decide My Life...

I am going to buy some pc speakers but I don't know what to do. Get reasonably priced good speakers, or get 50£ more for more expensive but better quality ones.

I am deep into two overdrafts but xmas and birthdays are coming.

Speakers are just one of those purchases where I couldn't justify an extra £50 for a little "extra quality". Sound is sound, just spend what you have to tbh.

I can afford both, I just can't decide, I know I'm pretty much paying for the badassery of the expensive ones when the cheaper ones would suffice... Eugh.

I'm with Liam. There's no reason to spend almost two times the price when the reality is that you're not going to get 2x the sound quality. Once you get to a certain level with PC speakers, it's difficult to get much better without spending thousands for high-tech acoustic shit. I'd just spend within your means and rest easy knowing you made a wise economic decision versus just going with something that's only slightly better but much more expensive than the alternative.

Just go with what you feel comfortable with. Purely for boasting reasons the total RRP of the speakers in my room is about 750 quid.

I'm not an expert. But, I think that there's really only so much sound quality you can get from PC speakers, and the difference between the two models really won't be earth shatteringly noticeable. I guess I'm just trying to say that if you're looking to get awesome sound and top notch stuff and are willing to pay a kind of large sum of money, then you might as well get something that you know is going to be really high quality and worth the money. As far as I could tell, there really wasn't all that noticeable of a difference, and even if it was significant, is it all that big of deal? The lower-priced ones are going to sound really good, and so are the higher priced ones. You just gotta figure out if it's going to be all that big of a deal.

The curve of quality-price isnt usually that steep on the upper side of the xy-field. Believe me, I know what Im talking about, Im economist. Hahah.

actually fuck what everyone else is saying, for the minimal price difference between the two, one is half the RMS of the other so get the more expensive ones.

In conclusion: if you'd rather spend £50 on speakers that you couldn't possibly spend on anything else LIKE OH I DON'T KNOW, DIABLO 3, then go for it.
