2 seconds is really what you should set as you minimum target. Did you know that if its at least 2 seconds you can rip it?

I was trying to do this the other day and the clip I was trying to get was 1.5 secs. Now I see that it won't work since it's not more than 2 secs. Thanks a lot. Problem solved.

Yes Ray, its a shame that you wanted 1.5. If you could add .5 to it that would be perfect. Cause then it would be 2 seconds and thats the minimum, 2 seconds.

Hey guys, I know it's widely suggested that 2 seconds is the minimum, but I found a video that is 1.8...can I get it? Or does it have to be at least 2 seconds long?

Although we would like to help you the minimum time is actually 2 seconds. I suggest PMing the Youtube user and asking him to re-edit and reupload the clip but to make it at least 2 seconds as this is the minimum length a clip must be to be ripped.

Google Inc. is an American public corporation, earning revenue from advertising related to its Internet search, e-mail, online mapping, office productivity, social networking, and video sharing services as well as selling advertising-free versions of the same technologies. The Google headquarters, the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. As of 30 June 2008 the company has 19,604 full-time employees.[3]

Google was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University and the company was first incorporated as a privately held company on 4 September 1998. The initial public offering took place on 19 August 2004, raising US$1.67 billion, making it worth US$23 billion. Google has continued its growth through a series of new product developments, acquisitions, and partnerships. Environmentalism, philanthropy, and positive employee relations have been important tenets during the growth of Google, the latter resulting in being identified multiple times as Fortune Magazine's #[address redacted] to Work.[4] The unofficial company slogan is "Don't be evil", although criticism of Google includes concerns regarding the privacy of personal information, copyright, censorship, and discontinuation of services.

The most important thing about this thread is that you can't download a video of youtube unless it exceeds 2 seconds in lenght. So basically you can only download a fracture out of all videos on youtube. Sucks I know, I'm a big fan of the shorties too.

You rip them if they are at least 2 seconds. But no shorter. Other than that you'll be fine to rip.
