Well I guess I should confess that I am starting to get old. All the latest music fads all passed me by and left me cold. All the kids are talking slang I won't pretend to understand. All my friends are getting married. Mortgages and pension plans. And it's obvious my angry adolescent days are done. And I'm happy and I'm settled in the person I've become. But that doesn't mean I'm settled up and sitting out the game- Time may change a lot. But some things they stay the same.

The 4k listings are probably sans the HD chips or for just the body. Happens quite often and people get duped lots of times, as we almost did.

I wouldnt get that cam mate.

Someone I know has it. It records in an awkward format, is very pricey, and isnt the best design in terms of build quality. Plus it's JVC.

I also wouldn't get the other cameras you mentioned. They are just shit camera put in a body that slightly resembles a broadcast camera. But anyone who is in the industry will know it's not a broadcast camera, so it defeats the purpose. (as you can quite clearly see from the pics below)

haha I just don't have the dough for broadcasting cameras such as someone else. any recommendations that are below 4,000? I would like the shoulder mount capability.

Not sure how much it is but if I was to buy a camera now it would be a sony EX 3. It shoots XDcam

Where do you rent cams and other filming paraphernalia from? is there a place online? cos theres nothing like that near me at all. :-( lol

I really wanna rent a boom mic & pole and a good quality cam for a film that's in the planning stage, aswell as maybe a stedicam and jib.
