Not really much of a punk fan, but I wasn't completely hating the music itself. Just the fast-tempo, "I hate the government" lyrics never really appealed to me.

That would be pop-punk. Sum 41 is alright though. Punkrock to me is bands like Good Riddance, Propagandhi, Street Dogs, NOFX etc.

either way, napalm death has nothing on the supersuckers, I went and saw them with reverend horton heat and nashville pussy. the most high energy show I have ever seen. I recomend it for everyone.
