Al. I fucking hope you'll send me something else to watch than what I saw today.

The fact that I was drunk when I watched it might have been a factor.

The movie might have been something else...

BUT!!!!!!!!!!

There wasnt much that mad me enjoy this movie...

Something positive: The skating was fucking impressive... but the editing was very basic.............. very basic.... basic...

Yates is legend. Legend he is. But not that much of a legend(This makes me wonder what all balls have to give) to carry it. And I didnt even see him that much.

There were some nice fights. But even old Jonesy fights more aggressive and has a better technic, even drunk, than any of those on tape.

Comparing to the standards that im used to with Ben(might be proper to add that it was yrs a go since old Ben has edited anything) this wasnt even close editing wise.

Maybe because iv'e been waiting for some of the 'old school' HG groups to release someting mind blowing. And part of me is wondering what the fuck happened... you have so much in you and so much going on but yet you 'IMO' fail to deliver... I do not know how its possible...

Not that the footage is THAT bad... but most of all the editing lets me down... maybe its just he pre-version of the movie... but still....

I had some newish(considering HG) friends over at bens house(theyve not seen much HG) that saw your movie and after this they saw our over 4yr old peice of shit rip off movie... which surprisngly(they were not afraid of getting a beating) impressed them more...(believe me I like being a douche but im actualy honest)

Sure they might say what they said out of courtesy as told them that our stuff is outdated and do not match the standards of todays HG.

Al, I really feel like its just you... youre pushing HG stuntwise but obviously(im sorry) fail. You have a one man group... BLL is strongly with you in most stunts that impresses(+yates in some). Al youre one of the most influent persons in HG these days... and this release just makes me very, very sceptic of HG releases to come.

It's pretty damn obvious that GOMP ran out of stuff to give us.... even DR have runt out of enough footage to give us a DVD.

DR is fucking legend. But is it all just hype? is there ever going to be something else than hype? Im not convinced(havent been for yrs) anymore.

I feel that the biggest mistake that HG groups have made is to try and give out their own DVD's and in doing so all groups have kept their footage for themselves in order to make an own DVD.

I feel that we(RIP/OFF) should've never kept footage from our HG brothers and friends. Because in the end what's the difference? Most of our 'fans' would've still bought our DVD anyways.

But the point is... FUCK IT! who cares if 20 something exlusive(HG ppl) ppl has seen your DVD!? Why is it worh keeping a secret for these dedicated ppl our DVD has been bought by ~25 HG posters and ~70 other ppl that are by no means conected to these forums.

Do you think you have someting new? something that wiould make the big crow go 'OH' ? And in cosideration of rescent articles would it be worth it?

Okay if you make it... what does 20-50 views even matter?

So in conclusion, keeping footage from these forums has ofcouse been the down fall of many classic HG groups and these very forums.

Why keep footage from the ppl who do the same stuff and are able to constructively critize and even advice you on your projcet.

Keep footage from the HG community is something that makes me very skeptic about the DR and GOMP DVD success.

So have we been anticipating the DR and GOMP DVD's in vain?
In all seriousness it's in my opinion pretty clear that the only thing you can gain from releasing bits and peices on these forums is gain.

We released our DVD yrs a go? new then? meh. GOMP and DR were there already(~3yrs a go) something new to give now? I doubt it...

Dont keep your footage from these forums... only thing you get from releasing(atleast in the VIP) is gain.

That's why I've been posting those vids in the VIP lately. Sure, we haven't did a proper stunt in almost a year, but I've still managed to film entertaining things.. I've just been sitting here with all these tapes not realizing that there's interesting stuff on them, and making those vids and getting positive feedback made me realize it.

I agree with you on how beneficial sharing is.

We've always said about our DVD that it's going to be enjoyable and make people want to watch it again, we're not saying "THIS WILL BLOW U MINDS" because from that specific stunting standpoint thats not what we're all about.

We figured rather than releasing trailers a year in advance of it's release was pointless because it gets people pumped, then it's just diminished. So it makes more sense to release something when we know it's coming soon.

Every time I come over to a house of people they beg to see the DVD, then they buy it.

No offense cIRca, I just think we have far more killer than you, it's gonna take all your footage to make one of my DVD's, it takes Al 7 days.

wow iv never seen jones give a negitive review like that before.

I found it funny how a negitive review of freak incs dvd turned into negitive hype about delayed reaction and gomp dvds. and then how funk overlooked the review and turned it agansted gomp having too many old hunt videos on there site.

DR, All balls, Retardz etc have been quite hyped too so they better really go all out lol nah im sure they will be awesome!

jones has seen reatrdz with good results. so no worrys.

iv seen alot of unreleased DR footage. the hype is real and none of DRs editing is rushed.

we're still waiting for mono to start actually.

well I have seen no shame and honestly It was really good, but its not as good for us as most hgf'ers will have seen almost all of the footage before. The only thing the upset me was the lack of editing, it looked like al took a bunch of clips from online an put um together, infect I think that is what he did? As for the content though it was really good, but like I said before it would be more appealing to someone who has not seen a lot of freak inc. vids before. All in All I think its worth a buy if u got the extra cash around.

the people who gave bad reviews...well I dont get it. ive watched the dvd 3 times now, the people I show dig it. my freinds wanna get freak inc stickers n shit to rep it. like people are focusing more on how it was made n shit rather then the footage. footage pwns. editing could of been more intricate but its not bad editing.

also remember this is fuckin homegrown, you cant compare our production quality to that of shit on tv.

What did GOMP do wrong in all of this haha.

iv yet to watch it. id rather sit back from seeing it right now and watch it after all these cross reviews come in before I do one.

Only reason I have yet to buy it is due to all the negative reviews.

Im going to wait a while, see webbs review and base my purchase on that.

if your putting out a DVD you should take your time and treat it as if it was a "Real" film. Make sure everything is as close to perfect as it gets.

SPDST manage to produce DVD's of a high quality, for fuck sake LSD DVD was more pro.

I dont expect you to have god like skills, but using "homegrown" as reasoning for poor editing/production values is just shit.

I have no real incentive to buy anything unless I know its going to be worth my money, Marc has a decent collection of HG DVD's and therefor a valid opinion on what is good and what is shit.
