I found some of my favorite bands through this forum, especially through the stuff Mono posts. Was hoping I could find some more.
This is the type of stuff I listen to, if you could recommend anything really good that's similar to it that would be awesome

Word, that whole thread is a goldmine. I personally recommend any Dance Gavin Dance, they're easily one of my favourite bands nowadays.
