WHAT THE FUCK???
He was one of the funniest comedians of all time... I knew he'd die soon, considering that he didn't exactly look that healthy during his last stand-up special, but hoped it wouldn't be for a while.

Carlin did a lot to fight for freedom of speech Stateside. The ruckus he stirred up in the 70's with his "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" monologue thingy. All of the fundamental Christians and self-righteous censures were all up in arms. He never budged an inch. Such a big influence over our culture. He accomplished enough to consider his life meaningful in a big way, no need to be sad about his passing and such.

Word man, he was a major advocate for freedom of speech and a damn funny man. The world just lost a true comedic genius... I mean, his stand-up from the seventies dominates even by todays standards.

Can't say I was a huge fan since I never saw his stand-up stuff; but he taught me to be excellent to others in order to secure the existence of a peaceful future society based on rock music, and that's worth a lot.
