M2ts Files

I was sent some files from our latest filming day from a group member with an HD. The files won't play on my computer and I was just hoping for some suggestions. Thanks!

Yeah thats what I would try, I had to do that because our shitty camera's video's were asf files, the videos wouldnt work in Premiere or Movie Maker, so I downloaded a video converter. This one isnt bad-

.m2ts files, better known as Sony's own format, AVCHD, is just a special HD codec container. They retain high quality while keeping file size relatively low.

You just need a program that can read that. The Camera came with software to play it, just ask for the disc from Keith, or go to Sony's website and grab it there. It's called Motion Picture Browser.

CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra will play AVCHD, and MediaPlayerClassic should play it as well. I'll be testing VLC Player in a few minutes.

Bro, I did Google it. That was the first thing I did. I couldn't find a legit codec for it. But I got a video converter and I'll do that.

EDIT: Fucking converter didn't work. I'll just get the program off the Sony site.

Cyberlink Power DVD is the only thing that will let me play these files, quality is fucking excellent too! Still no luck on a working converter though. My cam exports m2t files and WinAVI converts the videos without a problem but I get an error with every program for these .m2ts files. If anyone can suggest anything that might help that would be awesome.
