Thought I'd check what it looks like, in Cinema mode with saturation turned up on FCP, I can't really tell the full quality and color cause this comp sucks.

I was really amazed by how good a more consumer end model camera could do.
was really in awe about the shot at :20, and most of the water shots. if you havent, invest in a tripod, and do exactly that, and get some awesome timelapses, or filler shots for a dvd. *hint hint* Image file not present in the recovered backup

Yeah I'm surprised what the hc3 can produce also, and I was planning to shoot a timelapse sometime this week, and another member has the tripod right now.
And we have no plan for a dvd yet, we know lots of people locally that'll hook us up and are gonna make a like 10-15 min short for the film festival thats come threw our town and others for next year.

Good shit man. I think we have an HC-7 now. Lol. I forgot what camera Burgerz got, but I believe it was the 7. Does that mean it's cinema capabilities should be as good as this if not better? I know I sound like a total idiot right now, but I've never handled a HD cam before so I'm just wondering.

burgerz has the HC9, the cinema will likley be the same.
04 June 2008, 19:24 UTC#24
Cinema will be the same.
04 June 2008, 19:28 UTC#25
Gotcha. So what makes it better then? Or what is newer on it for it to be called the 9 rather than a 3?
04 June 2008, 19:32 UTC#26
ummm the # like,,, 3,5,7,9, and well some of them are stirpped down versions of the other, some of them have one extra thing, virtually they all work the same and it dont matter if they preform the same, nothing a little post production wont fix.
04 June 2008, 20:11 UTC#27
I gotcha. Well, I know who to talk to if we need help fucking around with the quality of our HD video in the future. Lol.
04 June 2008, 20:24 UTC#28
