No Mercy and 4 other groups put this fight scene together last weekend

This is the rough cut, the final version will have comic style pauses and whatnot and more sound effects

was pretty good, hopefully when it its fully edited it'll flow and seem abit more real. but yeah I liked it, nice stunt leroy. and lol at the guy at 1min 2sec rolling about in the background

Props on the actual stunt work, and I know with sound design it will be much better. But the actual stunts and action was great and was done at the same pace as it's done in films. The reason it looks abit lame is due to poor cinematography. With a decent d.o.p it would have looked ten times better. Now I know this is always hard because it would have taken you four times aslong to make, but the fact is, all together the shot list needed to be minimum of 4 times as long as it was. Because thats the only way to cut this kind of thing together to give it that same pace and spontiniuty (think I made that word up) you see when you watch a proper flick. And the framing was generally abit crap.

But props though, nice one. I know how difficult it is to do. I have the same problem in my film. It got to the end of a 24 hour shoot and I ended up filming the end fight scene in about 4 shots, due to the fact that my brain wasnt functioning, and neither was my crews. Needles to say it looks crap right now. And the only way to make it not look crap is by spliccing in bits of flashbacks mid fight, which isnt what I really wanna do but I have no option because at the moment my film is actually alright but what lets it down is the wet fish of an ending.

I wasnt the DP, Someone else was.

Our involvment was parts of the first action scene and the stair falls. I also secured all te locations.

The DP brought all the groups together to learn how to shoot action, so she is still learning!

We did it for the Stunt reel footage.

And like I said props on the stunts, they were great, what I was trying to say is that some of them look abit lame and fake in that video, but in actual fact if a high budget film was filmed in the same way it would have looked exactly the same. Therefore you did an awsome job. And if this film had four times the shots, and was edited really quickly with good sound design, it would look like a real film.

So basically you rule. The D.O.P doesnt. Not saying shes awful. But she aint great.

But I enjoyed it dude.

Edit: Also whilst watching it I was thinking about how good the locations were, so props on that too man.
