Running Programs From An External Hd

is there anyway to run programs like premiere, photoshop. microsoft office, from my external hard drive?

I really want to speed up my computer and I know that all these being installed slows it down.

and if theres any way I can drastically speed up my computer without doing so, tips? dont know too much about this stuff.

programs do fuck all to slow your computer down, just get better hardware.
