I think once you've made it past the 3 week mark, you've achieved something.

I don't see what's so hard about giving up anyways. it's simple, just don't smoke.

I smoked, then I didn't, then I did, then I didn't. I had no problems.

Same. It was hard the first two days but I'm good now. I had a cig this weekend and it made me feel like absolute shit.

That's exactly what I'm like. I started smoking socially when I was 15 maybe, and over the last year or so I would've considered myself an actual smoker.
Recently I've cut down massively without any trouble. I mean, I could easily go without smoking ever again, it just doesn't bother me that much and I have no real reason to.

It's all a matter of how strong willed you are in my opinion.

Some people have addictive personalities, and you also get another personality type called "all of nothing", a collegue is very much like this where he smoked 40 cigarrettes a day, I told him to cut the fuck down and he couldn't, so he quit with the guidance of medication and his girlfriend. Smoking can be extremely addictive.

In my old environment in Spain, I would smoke in bars, smoke in front of the PC etc. Now in the UK, you can barely smoke anywhere and I don't smoke in my apartment, plus I am now training so I tend to smoke between 2 - 7 ciggarettes a day.

I could quit, but I don't know if I really want to. I don't smoke enough for it to hurt my wallet or give me noticeable respiratory tightness, plus I enjoy the little cigarrettes that I consume.

The difference now, is that whereas before my habit was largely social before and I also smoked in front of my PC, these factors have now changed. When I smoke, it is large anti-social and I no longer smoke indoors.

Yeah, I totally agree. But I'd say people with addictive personalities are weak willed due to their lack of control over cravings. I still don't see a reason why it can't be overcome, it's just a frame of mind.

I want that on my cigs so bad now, thats the most metal cig box ever.

There's some even more nastier ones than those, but I can't seem to find them on Google image search.

They need to have some dying fetuses on the next boxes, I'd smoke only those cigs.
