I haven't posted on here in forever but I wanted more opinions on this video we just came out with. And I know you guys aren't afraid to tell me it sucks.

DKWAC: The Lifestyle

Alright, first of all, if you're going to do an interview montage with members of your crew, you need to have a couple things to make it work.

1. They have to be funny
or
2. The have to be interesting

The clips between the parts filmed on the couch (the actual stunts and footage) were pretty entertaining, I wanted to see more of that.

The parts that were filmed on the couch and meant to give us some sort of insight into your crew were aimless and boring. There was no cohesive message or uniting theme at all. It was just a couple of people whom we don't know or care about talking about more people whom we don't know or care about.

Find funny people with entertaining personalities and interesting things to say and try again.

like ray said the some of the stunts were good but the couch shit was boring

I actually like your style of humor, It needs a bit more coherence though... The stunt footage was aight, nothing too astounding though.
I chuckled aloud at a few parts though.

I like how more groups are doing things like this.

I dunno why Ray is being so harsh. You guys need work, more content less talking.

I like the idea though, mix ups don't really allow people to get to know people.

I wasn't being harsh. The dude asked for people to tell them the problems with it. He said this was a place he knows is willing to tell them what to do to improve it.

As I said in my post, this type of video can work if it has certain elements in it. Those elements were not present. I like the idea too, it just wasn't done as well as it could have been to be considered good.

C'mon Ray.

I liked it, but I would have to agree with everyone else.

That's just it, Al. You look at my word as law. But, it's only you. Seems like you have some sort of providence complex with me. If you want to take everything I say as Homegrown canon, that's fine with me. Makes me feel good.

Edit - Back to dude's video. I liked the short clip with the guy on the kids' ride going around in circles and he hits head on the coin-intake. Stuff like that makes me laugh every time.

I'd suggest having people write down what they're going to say before they go on camera and start talking. Most of that seemed improvised, which can be really good, but you're able to be a lot more efficient and effective with your humor if you have at least an idea of what you want to say going into it. I realize this wasn't meant to be elaborate or precise, but a little more planning besides "Sit down and talk about your friends," would be a great way to make this video work.

I googled "providence complex" and we both have no idea wtf your talking about.

Providence = A word for God/Deity/Omniscient Being
Complex = In psychology, it's used to describe an obsessive idea or notion.

I assumed that since you were so well-read in psychology and everything else that you could put together some simple words to figure out what I was talking about. It's like an Inferiority Complex, only instead of you feeling inferior to everyone, you hold me to be god-like to you. Just because you can't find it on Wikipedia and Google doesn't mean it can't exist. And also, pwn.

We love you guys only because we party everywhere with you.
You do still need work, you can make us laugh but I didn't comprehend much in that video. We really need a DKWAC BFD mix-up once the snow dies down.

but the vid wasnt bad, a neat concept, could have been more funny and mixed in with more stunt footage, but it was pretty good.

I enjoyed it. The humor was pretty much in my taste. I remember meeting one of you guys the last time I was up in Mass. I don't remember who though. It was at Peachfest.

thanks for the feedback. yeah our style is more random/humor than hardcore stunts and shit. And 7 minutes isnt really that long?

I guess the humor when wer talking would only be funny if you laugh at that kinda stuff but yeah.

And hell yeah BFD DKWAC Mix-Up needs to happen.

dude that was cool the skating and most of the stunts were good the only thing I gotta say is that the time lapse shots of the clouds and the road seemed really random and out of place to me...lol.
