New Mixtape - Need Help W/distribution

Hello All, this is my first post on here. I just completed a video mixtape. It is not different from the ones like the Crazy Dave tape or the Retard-o-tron tape. Although I used many clips, it was mostly from old horror movies, crazy shit and stuff like that. I have a few internet videos in there, but not many (everyone has seen them) plus not many at all from like skating videos, etc. so please don't hate me for stealing videos like the Retard-o-tron guy, I tried to stay away from clips like that!

Anyway I of course would like to get the tape out to the public. I would never think of charging because that wouldn't be right given the nature of the tape. I however have a problem in that I only have high speed internet access a few hours a day so I'm not sure what to do? I could only seed a torrent for a few hours which wouldn't work too well.

Does anyone here have a way to get it out on the net? I can upload to a website or send via ftp. The video is around 75 minutes long, divx file is 700mb.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure the tape is quite crap compared to the good works you all do, but I figured I would try and it was a fun project.

There's not a lot of skating or 'stunt' videos in it (re: original post).

Its mostly clips from movies, that sort of thing.

Does it make any sense? Or is it literally just random clips from movies?

I suggest doing that and posting it here, our critiques are refined by our own movie making skills and taste for content.

If it looks bad then getting it to people is pointless.



I've seen Retard -o- Tron but that actually had decent content to keep me entertained. But is this just movies cut up?

All video mixtapes are of course 'movies cut up', that's what they are. But if your asking is it just a bunch of clips from 'Porkys Revenge' randomly thrown together with no thought, then - no. The point of a mixtape is to find crazy and/or obscure shit that people haven't seen, not just throw shit together. I'm not saying that I've somehow created the Citizen Kane of mixtapes, but hopefully it isn't a pile either.

Look, I'm not trying to sell anything, I'm not trying to get anything sold. I just made a mixtape and knew that mixtapes come up in conversation here from time to time. I thought it might be good to check to see if anyone had some free ftp space or maybe did a lot of torrents that could push this out . I'm just trying to give away a mixtape nothing more. I just think theres been some confusion mate, on this forum people post stunt 'mix-tapes' of their own orginal footage...not of other real movies. What your trying to put accross is just getting lost in translation as this isn't the kind of video that gets posted here really.

I'm also sending it to Megashare (thanks for the tip) but its uploading at like .0000000002k a second so I don't expect it to finish for a day at least. (Hopefully the downloads are better).
