I got my random acts of stupidity dvd in the post the other week (cheers guys) and I have to say what is it with juggalos? they always seem to let themselfs be known that they are juggalos. I like alot of music, but I dont dress like im part of the group. can this be explained?. anyway to the point

the dvd came wraped and has good quality printing, the cover arts not very intresting but not to worry

so I pop the dvd in my player and sit down, try get my smoke & drink ready and to my suprise the film had started to play the intro already, wait where was the menu? so I hit the menu button and it just starts playing the intro again. this dvd dont have a menu screen or scene sellect or any bonus features.

off to a bad start but lets see from the intro, well I say intro because if you remember the trailer posted here. it wasnt a real trailer its just the intro without the titles of whos in it. so after that it goes into a random sections of footage. then basicly the dvd slows down to each section which features some of the crew doing a stunt, like mouse traps on themselfs section. snorting chill powder section. drinking alot of beers sections. anyway alot of these types of scenes feature in this video. if you think trailer park mafia crossed with freak inc, you have RAS.


the stunts: in this video are pretty much 1 type. theres so skateboarding, no bmx, no flips, no jumps. no wrestling (which suprised me as juggalo groups always seem to do BYW like ICP) anyway its ALL 'pain tolerance' stunts like mousetraps, pins in skin, staples ect.

the filming: is pretty much point and shoot, there dont seem to be any artistic shots or creative angles. so the filming is just set to documentent what these guys get up to.

the edit: well the editing. ras himself said the editing had alot of hardwork go into it and the the truth is, I see little effort put in here. I know for a fact this dvd could be half the lenth if the long drawn out raw footage was cut down it wouldnt drag on. the music was just layed over segments without timed to the footage or volume ajustments.

as a whole the ras crew do pain tolerance stunts infront of a camera, they arnt filmmakers which is clear from the production. the stunts are ones homegrownforums have all seen before time and time again, but to the people out of the scene like friends and family members, I think would be shocked by the debachery in 'Not Thinking, Just Drinking' which this dvd was put together for I think.

Fav Part: some dude gets loads of dog shit on the bottom of his shoe, then siscor kicks a guy did the face while rideing a bike (clip seen in trailer...I mean intro)

I was disapointed with this film because RAS claim to have been around for years on end before the other RAS. but the amount of footage was lacking. the editing was ment to be really good as he claimed in his trailer thread "I am very confident that I did a hell of a job on the dvd" so I told him if the dvd is worth buying, then ill review it here and if you have as much faith in it as you say then your going to generate more buyers.

so he sent me the dvd for free (thanks again) for me to hype it up so they can sell it too you guys. well im afrade it isnt worth the $15 he was tryin to sell it for. to be honest I think RAS should upload this so people within the HG scene can watch it for free.

all I can say is RAS dont know the HG market very well to make the statements he made but thats ok because he only came to this forum to sell his dvd. he dont know alot of what we do. but as long as hes happy with the video then thats all that matters. he seemed to have fun getting wasted and doing stunts so thats cool.

maybe a mixup of the best clips would be nice to see because I doubt I'll be rewatching the dvd...but I might oneday in the future..who knows.

Naw you know I've been waiting for Adrenaline Rush for awhile, you told me yourself it would be better than LSD Riders I just want to see if it lives up to it.

Yeah, there's a RAS in Canada and a RAS in Kentucky. The RAS in Canada got pissy about it because they said they were around for years before the Kentucky RAS was around. It wasn't a big deal really, though. Just the Canadians were boasting how they are the original RAS and the superior RAS etc.

Nah RAS isnt like Dan G, yes they both do pain tolerance stunts, but Dans style is way different to Ras. so saying they are similar is pointless because people will have the idea that they upthere with one of the best pain tolerance stuntmen in the world.

the best way I can discribe Ras to HGF members is if you mix TPM & FI. and with the editing of Arse Marks. I could of also mentiond What The Hell aswell but I know people here dont know them. if you think im beefing with you, spend the $15 and watch this DVD. then tell me im wrong.

also why dont you ask someone whos seen both LDS & Adrenaline Rush. see there opinion on them if you think im talkin trash.

Yeah most people consider us some of the "top pain tolerance stunt men in the world" so I don't want our fans to be thinking RAS's dvd is anything like what FREAK.INC is going to be like . Besides the fact we do pranks, skating, and other stunts besides pain tolerance.

Slavin, this is the RAS from Canada. If you looked at the DVD cover Marc posted, you'd see the Maple Leaf on the back of it.
