Hey
Got a flat screen monitor and everything looks stretched out. The manual says that its resolution should be 1440x900 but that isnt an option for changing the resolution. I have an HP computer if that makes a difference

right click on desktop/wallpaper. go to props > settings then move the bar that says less or more till it evens out.

There isnt a properties option on this computer. It has an option that says Personalize, and you can change the screen resolution, but it looks stretched in every option.

running on vista? well, what you wanna do is right click on the desktop, click 'Personalize' the windows explorer window comes up, where you click what should be the last link on that window entitled 'display settings'

on the left towards the bottom of the next window that comes up should be a bar that says 'resolution' and you can move the pointer high or low. 1440x900 should be on the highest resolution available. so move that bar to 'high' then select 1440x900 above that bar, then click ok.

Haha, I knew it. You'll be fucked to find a solution, I've been trying for ages and the hole just gets deeper.

I installed Rainbow Six: Vegas and then it seemed I was able to use the resolution, but after a while the option to have it just goes and your left fucked over.

Buy a bigger monitor next time.

Shit, the best I could get it to do is not take up the entire screen.
