Since noone ever uses this, I guess I'll review my board:
Element Fiberlight Boards: I've been skating a Jeremy Wray for several months now (I don't do anything big enough yet for it to be damaged badly) and it has served me quite well, though the tail has seemed to wear down a little faster than my other boards......it is pretty light (not as much as an aluminum though) and it pops pretty well.....so I'd reccomend it to beginners (like me) who don't intend on doing anything really big.....because I think it might break easily off of a high ledge, I have let mikey skate it on some ledges before and after it seemed a lot more......flexible

Tip-
Do not throw your board in anger to look cool like the pro's. They have 50 spare decks in their car, you don't. It's not a good idea anyway because I roughed up my deck when i couldnt land a varial heelflip and then it cracked right in the center when I did a kickflip down 3 stairs. I don't know if its just because Toy Machines are weak or because I threw it around a bit, but Toy Machines are my favorite shaped deck out of all the ones I have tried. I got the Emerica Ellingtons in white/black the other day, they are fucking awesome. They take no breaking in at all, and they are super padded and comfy. A little pricy though (95 USD), but definitley worth it. They look a little goofy from the front when you wear them but I don't care, they is gangsta.
Anyone know if there is any real difference between Griptape Brands? I am used to MOB or Blacktop and I see no difference in those, but I have never tried another brand other then those and I want to get some FKD colored tape, is it going to be any different then the Griptape I have now?

Yeah, I've never slammed my fiberlight, I don't want it getting cracked on pupose.......
As for griptape, I like Black Magic and Iron Horse, I hate jessup and walmart grip though
13 August 2004, 21:11 UTC#5
My friend has Jessup, and white shoes.. and it makes marks all over his tape.
14 August 2004, 15:56 UTC#6
I use Die Cut Tape and I love it.
Ipath 1985s- I am not too fond of these dhoes, I would like wider ones. These are shaped kind of liek tennis shoes not skate shoes.
Girl P-Rod Deck- Good deck, but yet again, too thin.it was supposed to be 7.8, but it's really 7.5. Eh.

I just bought some new Circa's for 90$, they feel good, I havent' skated them yet though, I dont' want to ruin them too quick.....I'm not sure which model they are, but I know that they are the newer muska shoes
14 August 2004, 18:35 UTC#8
My friend just got them shoes too, he said they were decent.

Cool, I'll probably start skating them after winter (they'll probably start getting shitty looking after that, so it won't matter, from the snow and all)
16 August 2004, 21:48 UTC#12
Sucks, for you it's summer over nyah.
17 August 2004, 02:42 UTC#13

Girl sucks, they break to easy. Royal Kingpins suck. Silvers are some of the shittiest trucks out, my friend broke 2 bases and cracked a hanger. Bones Swiss aren't worth the extra money really, just get Reds. Es Accels are ok, but basically any Emerica will kill them.

thats my exact old board.
does anybody else pop the shields off thier bearings besides me? oh yeah I dont like the bird house decks cause most of the time they are really heavy. but I got this steve nesser deck (mostly because it had artwork from green day's second album kerplunk) but it is really good for street it flips faster than all my other boards.
but popwar decks are basically indistrucdible because they're layer of fiber glass. my friends mom ran over my pop war and I swear to god not one crack.

Popwars are actually pretty weak except for the tech drops which your talking about. Your problem with bearing shields is probably that you buy the ones with metal shields, if you buy rubber they probably won't come off.
23 January 2005, 22:38 UTC#28
I like to pop the shields off my bearings not the retainer for the balls though. I like to because the make a really cool sound whenever you spin them really fast.
23 January 2005, 23:00 UTC#29
Those shields are there to protect the bearings from dirt and other shit.
