Holy shit......

Here is the info released so far...

-the games will feature both multiplayer and co-op.

-All four members of the movie team -- Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis -- will be giving voice and likeness rights for the game. Some supporting castmembers have signed up as well, including William Atherton, Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts.

-First title in what the publisher hopes will be a series of "Ghostbusters" games is set for release in fall '08 from Vivendi's Sierra label.

-In addition, film scribes Aykroyd and Ramis will pen a story for the vidgame that takes place in the early '90s, after "Ghostbusters II," during a new ghoul invasion of New York City.

-Developer Terminal Reality is making a "Ghostbusters" game for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 aimed primarily at the core gamer demographic, while Red Fly Studios is making a version for Playstation 2, Wii and DS designed more for families and casual gamers.

Yeah, this looks amazing; apparently they've cited Gears Of War as one of the main influences on the atmosphere and gameplay.

That ghostbusters video released earlier in the year has nothing to do with the new game.

That was made as a demo to show what it could look like, video leaked, company who made it got sued, however the fan response was hot for the game, so they went into production on one.

Sweet as! Ghostbusters have been long overdue for an update... They need to get onto that ghostbusters three script ackroyd wrote a few years ago. That'd be supercool.

Nice find. It really does look stunning. My only worry is that the proton pack be the only "weapon" avaliable, but other than that I cannot wait to play.
