Filming In Lp Mode

I just bought 4 new tapes and to cut down on filling them up so fast since I dont have paypal and the closest place to buy them is 2 hours away, I was wondering that when filming in LP mode, does this affect the quality?? and if so how much??

I think it's kinda risky. I've heard something about the tapes messing up easy in LP mode.

I wouldn't know though, I don't film in it.

Why not just film over the tapes after you've uploaded..?

Even if it does, it looks a lot better than anything in LP mode.

LP mode quality dont seem to change and iv not have them mess up on me yet, also filming over footage isnt a smart move, even if you have captured it once. if anything messes up you've lost all of it.

so this doesnt lose quality or drop frames?? and that if I start taping in lp mode to conserve more tape that everything should still be good

it fucks up hard, if you film in sp mode and then in lp. thats it.

I only plan on filmin in lp mode..like when I start a tape I stick in that mode only. but lets say I have 10 tapes, I I do half in lp mode then the other half in sp mode, will I have problems??

I use tapes once. which is why I want to get more out of tapes by filming in lp mode. but I want to make sure that nothing significant will happen, because I plan on getting a fuck load of footy for a dvd
