Agreed.

Plus you didn't really give us much to work with on how to help you.

How is it not working? Does it have power? Will it boot into windows?

If you have a windows xp cd (preferebly not stolen) put that into the drive and try formatting it that way, assuming that your bios is set to boot from cd, or even if the computer gets that far.

In fact, why am I helping you? You're a theif. Image file not present in the recovered backup

I'm with everyone else here, Imre, you shouldn't have stolen the laptop and then expected us to help you get it running. Some people have at least the slightest shred of values left.

Edit - That picture is hilarious Mike.

So if I come to your house and steal the computer you're using now, you wouldn't mind, seeing as stealing's not a 'big fucking deal' to you.

When I click on the myspace link in your signature, I can see you're from Gimli, Manitoba, Canada. Now if anyone from your city or even your school happens to come across this website and reads this thread, well, you're pretty much fucked.

But oh well, it's not a big fucking deal is it.

Yeah, Imre, we'll post in our forums if we want to. When you disclosed the information to the public forum, you opened your personal shit to everyone else around you - from any angle. Not just from the angle of us helping you use your stolen merchandise.

Just chill out and take what you've brought on yourself. Go to Google, as Fuzzy said, and look there, we don't want to be accomplices in your crime.

my buddy tried stealing a laptop, but he got busted in two days

psh, I duno why people are putin you down kid, I totally hear you out on your problem.. I mean you basicly paid for it, threw tax dollars, right? so it sould rightfully be yours..

durring the summer my friend works at my school durring the sumemr for clean up, he snached me a whole pc.. its a shame I had to blow it up though, it was a old piece of shit gateway, with no ram in it... so I wasnt about to really suit it up, wasnt worth it..

as for your problem, try getting rebooting Cd's or take out the hardrive and replace it with another, so windows could be different, or umm, I duno kick it around and do every littlie thing with it, may take time, but I hope its worth it..

edit: ohh you guys even got taxes in canada? haha

Don't you have home schooling?

Home is where the hurt is...

I was already done with 2/3rds of my 11th grade year when I started homeschooling.

I'm going back for 12th grade.

Perhaps one should know how to run a computer before going into the fine art of stealing them? Or just steal one that isn't broken.
