Welcome To Homegrown Forums.
If you are new to the forums or just don’t get why people have been treating you like an asshole then you should probably read this.
1. We are doing you a favor by watching your video- This means make sure it’s something worth clicking because NO ONE WANTS TO SIT THROUGH YOUR SHITTY VIDEO!
2. It’s your group, act like it- Don’t post threads asking us to help think up group names, help you think up pranks, or help you think up stunts “because your group just started filming". Why would we give you stunt ideas when we could go out and film them ourselves!
3. You came here not the other way around- Please don’t act like your doing us a favor by staying here, if you aren’t getting along with people on the forums who have been here longer then you odds are the problem is you.
Tips on preventing this:
-Learn how to make your sentences make sense, we have people from countries were English is there 3rd language who still manage to be understood YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE.
-Invest in a camera that isn't used primarily for taking shitty pictures for your Myspace or showing your dick to people you think are girls on MSN.
Here is an equation that sums it up.
X amount of work on video + quality of footage + quality of stunt/prank/skit = X amount of “fuck” we give.
-Your “funny” threads usually aren’t that funny and will probably end up in the trash section of the forum before anyone else can “laugh” at how “funny” they are. (See how I quoted laugh and funny the emphasize there original meaning isn’t what I am trying to convey)
-Your “funny” posts usually aren’t as funny as you think they are either (See Above)
4. If you saw it on another video by another group don’t copy it- One of the hardest things about what we do is the thinking up of original content for our videos. So in turn the most annoying thing is to be shamelessly ripped off. You may have done it better but it doesn’t change the fact you’re an asshole.
5. If your first video is also your DVD trailer you may want to think before posting it- Odds are no matter how long you and your friends have been working on your DVD it wont be worth us buying. DVD trailers are made to make someone want to buy your DVD, so unless you plan on selling it, and you know, plan on MAKING A GOOD DVD don’t bother us with it cause you’ll probably get flamed.
6. Some of us have been here for a multiple of years how long have you been here?-See this is the part were I want you to think to yourself “How long have I been at this forums”. If you were smart and read this you have only been here for a couple of minutes (unless you’re a retard then it could have been hours), that means you probably aren’t hip to the jokes, slang, homo erotically charged jokes and pictures. Don’t pretend you are. You’ll get there eventually, but nothing is more frustrating then that kid on soccer who missed all the practices and games then comes half way during the season and pretends to get all the inside jokes (You’re the kid who hasn’t been here for half the season FYI).
7. IMPORTANT: There is no right or wrong to making a video, it’s your group, your message, your video, don’t let other people tell you how it should be- This forum is for feedback, don’t take our word as law. Learning to take criticism is important, but more important is to not take our advice (when we give it) as law.
