It really is. Look at vode, he has cameras almost identical to what I used to have and he's filmed tons of better shit.

but if you have a camera that has shitty quality its a lot harder to watch and better for the viewer if somehtign was filmed with a better camera.. although a 2000$ cam will look the same as a 500$

minidv cams produce watchible quality videos, from $200 ones to $2000, it dont really matter unless your tryin to create an atmosphere, but thats really for short films, and you can do most of that in editing. what isnt watchible is Bad film making = camera work and editing.

yeah I know but besides quiality the more expensive cameras can pick up audio a lot better atleast my camera picks up adio a good 10 times better than my old one and from a further distance away. also I think with the "handle bar" you can get alot better shots and angles and its easier to move while fimling.

agreed, although it is good to have something that performs well in low light...I can't stand the grain cheaper cams produce.

My new camera is a Canon GL2 for $3100. with wide angle lens $400. and extended length battery $120. $100 carry safe case.
My other cam is a Canon ZX90 for $999. wide angle lens for $70. Extra battery $50.
$200 on wireless mics.
$150 on external hard drive
no one really knows on tapes or props.
total around...$5,300.
