That guy was a lozer. He probably installed it already on his PC, he wouldn't just waste a 500 dollar OS just because he couldn't get to work on his one PC he tried it with. I can imagine some fucking lame ass nerd cringing and writhing in pain when watching the guy put the disc through the shredder, "Don't do that! That's VISTA! Glavin' oddin'."

I think he was genuinely pissed off, doubt he'd keep Vista if that was the case.
And I concur about the geek part, haha.

So typical. Most problems can be solved, just users don't know how, and they are not willing to pay someone who knows.
Besides, Windows Vista uses my rather old Soundblaster Live 5.1 in stereo mode, there is no way to enable 5.1. Creative doesn't plan to create a driver for it. So, I'll have to replace it...

So true.
It's like people claiming XP is insecure and they have to use Unix based OS's, XP is only insecure if you can't keep it secure. It's up to the admin.
Besides, I've seen countless rooted CentOS boxes
