I have a JVC GZ-MC100 Link

Its been working well for the past month or so. But I let my friends borrow it to film while I went and had dinner with my gf, and when I came back, they said there was a problem with it. My chum said that he had sat it down under his jacket while he skated for a bit, then they went to tape some of their skating, and it started saying "Please Insert Memory Card", even though there already was a card in the CF slot (Hitachi 4GB Microdrive Card). Ive been trying to figure it out all night, doing the usuals I(trying to blow dust or someting out etc) but nothing has helped.

Can anyone help? This is a $500 camera, and I would hate to make my chumlys buy me a new one, as I know it would take for-fee-fi-fucking ever.

Thanks. Image file not present in the recovered backup

sorry por hijackin your thread. but when you use this cards to record your footage, you get better quality? cause I read in my manual that you film in 30fps or someshit.

I reckon you do anyways. I used to Have a JVC *something* that filmed to Mini-DV, and I think this camera had better quality than that.

Help...
