basicly I put my handy cam on the docking station thing turn it on and it no longer dings and pops up and nothing shows up in any video editing program what gives??

docks are hella weird...you never know whats going on in there... just connect to the firewire on the cam?

Have you checked 'Burn VCD' on the pmenu?

mouse, keyboard, web cam but I use fire wire for my handycam
