The last two are the best ones. I really like them.
19 January 2007, 20:37 UTC#3
Thanks man. :-)

The first couple look like they were at a golf course

weren't anything special. But, the horsey pictures are great man, I really liked those. The lighting looks great and the mist in the background adds a lot to it. If the horses didn't have those lame riding jacket things on them it would look a lot better. They'd look a lot more natural and free-roaming I guess you could say. But, with those cloths on their backs, it's really obvious they're domesticated and whore out to be ridden. Still nice pics though. And nice thread idea too, I figure this has been at least suggested before.

Haha the first 2 are at my cousins house in France and I get what you mean about the horses but I dont think they would like it very much if I went round and took off all their jacket things in that freezing cold weather. lol
19 January 2007, 20:46 UTC#6
Yeah, I figured as much, it looked cold there. Maybe I'll head out with my digital cam and take some landscapes if I get the time. I'll show you how it's s'posed to be done. My camera's pretty shit though. What kind of camera you use there? Also, you use 32mm at all?

The one there was just a 10 megapixel digital cam, nothing special.
And I had a 35mm Olympus but I exploded the flash lol, I left the batteries in it on high setting and it was stuck on 'test' and it kinda burnt out and I hardly used it anyways.
Its not something im majorly interested in, just something I like to do from time to time, digital is good enough for me.

19 January 2007, 20:57 UTC#8
Yeah, that's cool, well, I'll head out and take some shots and see what I can get. I'll post em' up tonight. I love 35mm though, I don't care how out-dated the medium is or impractical it is today.
19 January 2007, 21:00 UTC#9
The horse pics are cool but the horizon seems to be slightly tilted. I know that the landscape has a hill in it.. buuut... still its a bit tilted?
19 January 2007, 21:08 UTC#10
The camera was resting on top of a fence when I was doing it so unless the fence was wonky, it should be straight. lol
19 January 2007, 21:17 UTC#11
oh ok! probably just the hill.

Weak that's a real cool pic. the city looks calm with that sky.
yeah ROAD (sry) yeah wrong side and all. South Africa is a land of contrast. And roads are mostly really really good. And it was fucking weird driving on the 'wrong' side of the road... sick.

Lemme know what you think of the photos and the thread idea.

Sweet ass photos, and as far as the tread goes, good idea but the photography threads always seem to die out after a while for some reason
