ok...I know, I asked it too many times haha

but I finally earned 2100$ (can)
so....around 1785$ (us) I guess


first....I wanted to buy a dvc30 in a store(2800$ can.)
but I called the guy and he said that the price was even higher (3000$)
and im fucking sick to wait like an ass...

so, is there a SAFE website where I could buy this cam or a better one like vx2100,
with 2100$

if it could be inside Canada that would be awesome.... ::A SAFE WEBSITE::

thxx....and please, dont post shit...im fucking serious with that and I cant wait to get it

Your group must be pretty amazing if you're going to buy a VX.

Why get such an expensive cam? Will be outdated before you know it and a $500 cam will more than suffice.

Save the cash and get a cheaper camcorder.

Domm, the dvc30 was discontinued awhile ago and its starting to disappear from the shelves.

Ebay is your best bet. It's where I got mine. It was refurbished, and shortly after I purchased mine - a brand new one was listed on ebay for only a little more than what I paid. I showed this to Yates, it was totally legit, and I believe thats where he got his. I believe he paid around $1600 USD.

Aside from ebay, I would have recommended Costco to buy the dvc30 but they stopped selling it awhile ago.

Costco.com is definitely the best place to buy electronics, strictly because of their lifetime return policy. They offer other cameras you might be interested in. Their inventory changes weekly.

That would be a bait & switch scam.

Theyre very easy to spot. Any online store, aside from ebay, offering vx2100's for under $1800 is a scam - either a gray market scam or a bait & switch scam.

Learn from my mistakes.

so...I should get my cam from ebay

now the question is...which cam should I get ?


I dont only want a cam to film stunt and prank..
I want to become a cameraman later haha
and I dont want to buy an other cam in two years,
cuz the one I bought was shitt....

so if you compare the cam quality and his price....

Ive used a bunch of cams in my time....and ive used the dvc30 and vx2100 more than anything else.

In short, the vx2100 wins in all categories. It rocks.

I love the dvc30 for its infrared feature, but the vx2100 wins by far, especially in sound and picture quality.

Thanks you guys. BBC's prices seem a little too cheap, so I figured they weren't "safe". I'll just keep looking around. Probably on Ebay mainly. I WILL get a new camera eventually....

yeah I brought my camera for only £100($195) and its been dropped into the river near us and it still works!! Image file not present in the recovered backup

Yeah got mine for around 1600, came with a bunch of accesories too. I <3 my DVC.

I'd love to own a VX, but I've decided to wait and see how serious I am about filming come graduation time. So I've got over a year to decide.

I'm just going to get a Panasonic PV-GS300 for now. It's better than my current cam (Sony HC26) and then I'll have two cams. Anybody here have a GS300 or something similar? They seem like good cams.

I know Freak.Inc uses a camera in that line and I think I might have read that Rip/Off uses one too. Ah well, I'm pretty sure I'm buying it tomorrow.

Andrew just got one and he says it's good. At long as you don't film at night or in dark situations a lot, it's great.

That's what I've heard but I read somewhere about tweaking some of the manual controls for better low light performance. My Sony cam works nicely in the dark and I'm going to buy a infared light to put on it to extend the range of the night shot.

I'm excited though. I think I'm going to be very happy with this cam.
