Rocky Balboa

just watched the film so thought id do a review.

same as all the rest..most of the film is outside the ring, about his struggles and how he wants to get back into the ring.
then has his trademark short training to buff him up again. Throughout the film however he looks like he might just die right there on the spot.. they have made this 50yr old guy seem like hes on his death bed.
obvious reason is to make his comeback seem all that more impressive.
Anyway, he goes has his fight with the "Champ" I wont tell you how it ends. PRoblem with this fight sequence, didnt fell like the other rockys. Wasnt as exciting, etc. had a few blood spits like the privous films and the normal "you can do it rocky" attidude.
It ends on an emotional end as it really is the last Rocky film.

Film is filled with cheesy lines but not so bad you cant watch it.

AS it is the last Rocky I recoment seeing it, not as good as the privious ones..but still worth a watch

What about the punches did they look realistic or was there some fake sound on every hit like the old ones, with the enhancements in editing they should have been able to fix that, did they?

I'll soon go see it, seeing as my cousin is horribly obsessed with Rocky.

punches were half and half..
half looked fake with the sound effects. the rest seemed more real

I give it 3/10. It sucked and it was definitely not a worthy ending to the saga. There was no plot whatsoever, ok well the chain of happenings that lead to the exhibition fight could be called some kind of a plot but there was no point or no excitement in the movie. It wouldn't have mattered if he had lost or won the fight because he was the crowd favorite all along. And wtf was with the 1 hour intro where nothing happened. I was disappointed as hell and botox-Stallone sucks even more as an actor nowadays, his crying in one scene made me burst out laughing so I guess that's a good thing.. The 3 points I give for this movie came only because Rocky's a legend. But please, no more. Next up, Rambo...

Haha you know that Driven is directed by the only finnish director in hollywood. His other masterpieces include Cutroath Island (the pirate movie which holds the all time record for making the biggest economical loss), Excorcist the Beginning (the prequel that sucked so badly it wasn't even funny anymore), Deep Blue Sea (in which Samuel L Jackson died by the ugliest animated shark ever before the movie had even started, probably to save on salary expenses) among others. I want to see the new rocky, but after I finished all of Rocky I-V that are On Demand

TBH I probably won't see this movie.

I actually had low doubts for this film. I agree the dialogue was kind of cheesey, which gave the humour to it. However, I felt that the movie did have a great ending, as it proved the point that age doesn't matter. It did have the same Rocky-esqe moments, but it still wasn't the same.

I agree with the above stated that Stallone's acting has declined over the years, but give the guy a break. Also, did it appear that Stallone was on Steroids? It appeared that he was more veiny and buff than he ever was.

All in all, I give the film a 7/10 because it took balls for the guys to go back and do a sequel so long after it was almost forgotten about.

Not sure how Rambo will turn out though. Personally, I think Sly is way too old for that one.

Terminator 4 (2008)

more shit films

I liked Terminator 3, not as much as 2, but it was worth watching.

lies and 99% of the people who watched it KNOWS IT.

The conclusion of the fight is a nod to the original Rocky in two ways - Rocky gets in the final punch of the fight, a left handed cross. Rocky also loses the fight in a split decision, as he did in the first movie. He exits the arena as the decision is read - the outcome does not matter to him. Instead, it is the mere fact that he lasted ten rounds with a much younger and faster opponent. The movie ends with Rocky speaking at Adrian's graveside. In a nod to Rocky II, he says "Yo, Adrian, we did it." He leaves a bouquet of roses on her headstone, and walks away. As the film (and series) concludes, the final image sees Rocky, in a distance, waving to Adrian's grave before finally fading out himself.
