I just watched this today. I didn't really like it. I thought the whole thing was mess. It was all over the place. And those flashy editing techniques Tony Scott is using his movies now (Man On Fire) are just obnoxious. There was some aspects of it I liked, had some good characters...but overall it just didnt work.

Kinda sad to learn the story was based on a real girl who died right before its release. Kinda random seeing as she was only 35.

I know this came out a year ago...I'm behind. What did you think of it?

not seen these films. is the editing like what we see in HG movies where they have effects that are over the top and pointless and un-needed? im intrested as movies pretty much have the same kind of editing in them all the time and nothing different...unlike saw, them films featured pretty cool editing when playing the games...ah im ramberling

Its sorta like Saw yeah....its sped up all fast and then the contrast goes up and down, up and down. Hard to explain but it gets kinda annoying after awhile - as the contrast is really fucked with and its hard to see whats going on in the action scenes.

Man On Fire is a great movie though - you should check it out.
