I don't know if anyone knows this but...
I havn't been posting in a while because of recent events at school about Manipulation Videos.
Somebody has told the school about our myspace and site and has identified us. Last week our parents had come to our school and viewed all our videos. Our counselor and social worker tried convincing our parents to send us to counceling and such.
They told us a bunch of bullshit about how our brains are not developing "normally."
Basically they think we are mental.
I told them they can't do anything about it since it was not at school, but they said they can tell our parents and recommend counceling. So now, half of the MV crew can not hang out because of that.
They also said that this situation would never leave the room. But the next day most people knew about the situation and teachers were even talking. The principal had also sent out an email we got our hands on, they sent this to all the counselors, school administrators, the school board etc. Which they were not supposed to do. Thinking we would never see the email, probably.
Good Morning,
Last Thursday five girls who are regularly enrolled in our highest level courses were interviewed regarding some extreme behaviors that were involved in making a video outside of school. Their behaviors placed them in dangerous and hurtful situations, very shocking to any of us who operate in the "normal" range of what is acceptable.
The parents of all students were called in and shown the video: a couple of parents were aware most were not and were very shaken by what they observed. The video was made last fall and the girls have all said they are no longer in such activities.
I share the websites with you so you can know about youth today and sometimes where they are with their activities. We use to race cars and jump ravines on our bicycles; I think you will agree today's youth are moving into much more dangerous activities as their "sport".
Evelyn's overview provides the websites and further explanation.
Hope you have a great week!
See you at upcoming meetings and next Monday.

Students are doing some outragous things these days to minic some of the reality shows and extreme shows. We have found out about some web-sites that show us exactly what those activities are that some of our honors and AP students are involved in. While we only have identified a few students, our concern is that there may be others and we want our students to be safe not only in school but also in the community.
These activities could cause some potential harm to the students themselves and are quite dangerous in nature.
I have included two sites for you to view.
Please note that some of these are rather graphic and also shocking.
Our counselors, school psychologist and social worker are working with parents and students. They are making parents aware of these activities and helping them understand the need to get help for their children. To keep out students safe and help them make the right decisions,
if you hear of activities such as these or are aware of other students who may be involved in these activities, please provide this information to anyone in our PPS team. Also please note that I provided the web-site and not the student names because of confidentiality.
Please consider confidentiality when discussing the contents of this sight with other staff members. These sights have been provided for informational purposes and should not be discussed in class or using student names tied to the activities at anytime.
Here are the sites; however, you may not be able to access them from school because of the filters we have in place.
