This is somewhat old, but new to me. It's about the lawsuit Rufus and others filed against the Bumfights makers. They settled out of court last April and it seems that a part of the agreement is that they will stop selling the Bumfights videos.

QUOTE
Once the financial terms of the settlement have been reached, the defendants will no longer be able to sell or market any of the “Bumfights” videos, according to attorneys handling the case.

someone should email them and see if this is true...if so that pretty much sucks and I guess it means no Bumfights 5?

I dunno...find it hard to believe they wouldnt even fight it in court. I mean the series is fucking infamous now.

Bumfights is a money making machine. I'm sure they will find a way round it somehow.

Even if it does get banned it wouldn't be 'the end'. The vids would just find their way on p2p anyways.

4 is only good if you like fighting and stunts....I still cant beleave they made a bumfights with 1min of bum footage in it. stuntfights was a much better title and they could carry on to parts 2 and 3 after BF is done. ah well.

Bf3 while having less actual bums in te movie was still really good but because they didnt have indecline crew they had to rely on other peoples stunts pluss old footage
2 was ok to say download and see but there are better videos out there to buy

No one in my group likes bumfights except me and this other guy Matt. One of them even described it as 'sickening', dunno what the big deal is. Sure, some parts ARE a bit politically incorrect to say the least, but more on that later....

I got alot of respect for indecline and thier films, atleast their out there trying something different whilst also getting a message across about the condition of todays problems; even if it does come about through exploitation of others.

The whole thing about showing everyone the facets of a society 'in decline' brought about through drugs, alcohol, violence and the corruption of the mass media and large corporations is a good intial concept; I'm just not sure if they go about it the right way sometimes. I don't really care what Ryan says, he is abusing people to a certain degree and often he isn't 'helping' the homeless (let's face it, you can reason your way around any behaviour if you try hard enough); but it's no where near as bad as what the media and even general viewers have made it out to be.

Just because I don't agree with something, doesn't mean I regard it as a bad piece of film making though; If a hobo is paid to hurt himself for instance, I like to view it as showing the reality of desperation people experience when they're out on the streets, as opposed to a blatent exploitation with no purpose or meaning.

I still cant believe that people thinks that bumfights its about bum fightings.. theres like 30 secs of bums fighting in the 4 films.

I've only seen BF 2 and it was alright. A few parts had me cracking up pretty good though. I definitely need to check out the other videos.

Not a big fan of the series... I like some of the random shit that goes one, but I just get over watching dumbshits beat the tar out of each other pretty quickly.
Respect for building a multi-million dollar empre on the back of a few Indy films, though.
And they'll never stop selling bumfights... It's just not a financially viable option...
And even if they can't distribute it through Indecline, they could probably just get around it by hocking the rights off to some third party anyway...

as the first video is mostly based around school fights I often wonder how much thought was put into filming the bums, as in a promotion selling dvds way or if it was just what that happened to film. as you've got 5 million hours worth of school fights nothing to new there but then you give some homeless person 5 quid to have bumfights tattoed on his face you dont see that everyday.
so did they film the bum stuff with the intention of shock value or were they just filming bum life
