I saw them live too during the summer that just passed and it was something close to a spiritual experience for me, especially when they played "Only For The Weak".

Another band you might want to look into is Maylene & The Sons of Disaster.

Oh hell yes! I love Opeth and Crytopsy, haven't heard much of Emperor though but I know that had a big part in founding the Black Metal genre. Flo Mounier from Crytopsy has to be the most talented drummer ever. Check out his vids on YouTube.

Yeah I've seen a few of his drum solo vids, his double bassing and blast beats are almost inhuman!

Yeah, LoG's drummer has some pretty nice footwork behind the kit. Their chugga-chugga style of riffing gets old to me fast, so I listen to them in moderation. Still a good band overall.

check their burn the priest album if you already havn't (you probably have though), songs like suffering bastard are totally dope. If you're interested in emperor, go 'in the nightside eclipse'. Gets my vote as BM album of all time, hands down.

Death From Above 1979 is an alright band for what they have. band only consists of bass player and drummer, and the drummer is the vocalist.
