what are some good tips to use to keep frames from dropping in vegas 5 when capturing video?

cant you click something that says dont drop frames. I know you can in other programs ive never used that

no but this thing comes up and says dropped frames detected

make sure you're not running any programs in the background. sounds like you have a shitty computer, so if you push it too hard it wont be able to capture and do other things at the same time.

yeah my computer is pretty shitty, any suggestions on what to get to make it better?

a new one, just turn off your net and any other programs apart from vegas and you'll be able to capture fine

more ram and a bigger hard drive would help a lot.

man 80 gigs isnt much at all. I have a 250gb harddrive with about 100 gigs of vid on it.
And a 250 gig hd in my computer that only has 70 gigs left

well its a big step up from 10 gigs lol
but the guy at the computer store said that anything above 80 gigs wouldnt work right on my computer it made me feel all sad the next step is to get a new computer when I have money
