freak.inc Issues 1-5 trailer

The idea is this; I put out a new DVD every month to every other month.

Each DVD will be 15 minutes or so, but they will be filled with full sections of all the shit we have been saving and the new stuff we will be filming. I'm hoping to get these things into some shops and what not, but the price will be cheap.

Around 5-8 bucks for 15 minutes of entertainment, or wait till all five come out and buy them together as a pack.

Exactly I'm only 16, I have like a year and a half to kick back and film. This summer it's freak.inc/all balls.

I wanna get there sooner though, like spring break or something haha.

Andy said you'd jew me, but seriously dude I'll be making so little money off this all the excess will be put back into printing them up unless we get a distro deal. And if we get a deal sales break ups will be the last shit to worry about you know haha.

The only money I make off this is selling the stunts I do to Erick Barath, so I use the money I made from my stunts to put into making the few 100 or so copies, and as I continue to sell my stunts to Erick if I don't need to spend all my money of the DVD's production I'll keep it cause I made the sale and they were stunts of me.

But if we get a distro that would be the only chance anyone would see money.

Pretty awesome, liked the cut tounge then the mousetrap on it. That bush fall was good too where he missed the bush. The video was great, but the music wasn't very good though it flowed well with the video.

Awesome video man. Not so sure botu the DVD being released in sections though.

Don't think of it like that, this of it as a 411 magazine, there only like 30 mins and mostly are commercials.

This magazine is half the length but also half the cost, 10 bucks, and there are like seperate movies. It gives you guys the benifit of not waiting and in the end getting a longer DVD by like 30 mins.

And with these short videos filled with mostly killer shit the replay value is alot higher.

I like the idea of all the issues, that way you can carry on making them once you get past issue 5 and it wouldnt be hard to fill a dvd too. then get a distro deal and just make one big dvd for the mainstream. oh and thats the nicest layed out editing iv seen from you

The trailer was pretty sweet, these dvds should be good. I like the idea of releasing a series of short dvds on a regular basis.

Haha the jump from the roof ass first to the grass was ace, so were those jumps into the water as well. Quality. I loved it.

I'm not that sure about the DVDs being sold in separate parts either.. It's not that cost efficient for either you or the buyer to make 5 DVDs when they'd all fit on 1..

Yeah, 5 issues will cost like 40 dollars if they cost 8? =o

Ben, "LSD Riders: Take it and love it" was 30 mins, non stop action. It was sold for 20 bucks.

I'm offering a 15 min dvd (half the time) for half the cost.

Eventually I'll probably either make a box set, or put them in one dvd were you can pick the Issues you want to watch. But this is how I can get the shit I film out to you guys as soon as it's in the camera, and have a better chance of actually getting somewhere with my DVD's.



Dude, when more come out there will be deals, but have you ever been in a skateshop? The prices for videos there are outragish, I'd probably sell them to the skate shops for 5-8 bucks, only to have them sold back to the public for 10-15.

The Baker DVD was sold for 35 bucks some places, 35 bucks.

Sounds reasonable.. anyways I cant buy dvds so.. dunno why im bitching.

Yeah I know, but you could also make one 5x15 min DVD for the same cost. LSD Riders had their 30 minute DVD, but that was it no more DVDs after that. You on the other hand have loads of footage and could make a much longer DVD. It'd be cheaper for you because you wouldn't have to burn 5 discs instead of one, and it'd be cheaper for the customer as well to buy it.
I'm not trying to poop on your idea, just trying to get a hang of it


EDIT: nvm the 'cheaper' comments, I'm dumb as a mule, didn't think it through.. But I'd still prefer one single DVD

But see I'm a perfectionist, the second I get started on the DVD even if other people I show the bits too like it alot I'll say "Fuck it, I need more footage", I have over 300 gigs of footage on my hardrive and external hardrive. This way I can get a 15-20 min DVD perfect the way I want it and put it out. When I put out the big one I am in this box that says it has to be fucking perfect or I just wasted my time. This way it can be perfect to me, and I can get my footage out there faster, and be out filming more.

And this way also I can build up a fan base gradually, if I just released a DVD full of our best stuff it would take awhile to catch on, I'd feel like shit cause my masterpiece isn't selling like hot cakes.

Now I can just say "Eh, it's a new thing, I still have more footage, it'll catch on next one" and the odds are it will.
