I'd guess the VX is the best. I have a GL2 though and am very happy with it, great camera for the price.

I think Sony.. Sony DCRVX2100... think it is more better then all in your list
20 November 2006, 19:00 UTC#4
the sony vx or hd.
20 November 2006, 19:56 UTC#5
Go for the HD cam. I don't care what people say about them, but the quality is so fucking amazing it will make you cream your undies.
20 November 2006, 20:56 UTC#6
whats the diffrence between the vx and the hd?
besides the fact that its hd?
20 November 2006, 20:58 UTC#7
vx2100
20 November 2006, 21:01 UTC#8
go for the HD man. If you are just using it for like your groups work I dont think it would matter. But if you are in like college program or something I would go with ht HD. I think the next camera I buy will be an HD, everything in the feild is starting to go.,

The sony would be the better of the camera's you've chosen. How much have you found it for?
I'm soon going to be getting the GL2E though, just becuase of its moderately low price for a semi-proffessional mini-dv 3CCD camera.

VX for homegrown stuff, it's just perfect in every way.
HD cam for everything else.
20 November 2006, 21:40 UTC#11
I dont need just homegrown stuff...I want to be able to film short films and documentary movies...and again I dont care about the money right now I care about quality
20 November 2006, 21:59 UTC#12
HD will have better quality, but it'll be heavier and less portable. Also, the VX has better low light.
20 November 2006, 22:01 UTC#13
VX man, without a doubt.

go with the hd then man... Dont worry about low light if you are doing documentarys and shit you are going to want to set up ligthing, and if you really want a good light, buy a sungun, then come with a "battery belt" but you can just wear it over your sholder and they are about 75 watts.

Sony DCRVX2100
22 November 2006, 09:38 UTC#20
thanks guys...I think im gonna go with the Sony HDRFX1E
22 November 2006, 10:07 UTC#21
Id get the Panasonic VX100
By far the best 3CCD camera. It does 25p filming. The sony is a great camera but has no depth.
I was camerman on a New Zealand Rugby Reality show all year and we used those, came up by far the best on TV, compared to the sony it shat on it.
22 November 2006, 10:18 UTC#22
the Sony HDRFX1E has a cine24 feauture
its not a true 24p but I read on reviews that nobody can really tell the diffrence
here is what I want
I want a camera with a good audio, a camera that shoots very good in low light, I want to film indy films with it and ofcource I would like the image to be crystal clear
can the panasonic provide me that?
