Tattoos By Ryan13

Well I was doing an apprenticeship for 7 months, and just recently quit due to differences. Since then I have kept practicing and got myself set up for a little mobile shop. Anyways, there are the first two tattoo's I have done. My first time running a tattoo machine with needles was the friday that just passed. The first is a work in progress. Ive always loved Zero Skateboards and am eventually doing a whole inner leg peice on it. Going to have a skateboard graveyard in the background and shit. The second Im unsure if I am going to do anything else other than grey shading. Anyways, tell me what you think.

I think you should have completed the course to be completly honest.

it wasnt much of a course, it was sitting around working my ass off for free hours. I put in more than likely 1500 free hours and really got nothing from it, so this is the only way I can do it right now, practicing on myself

Allright, well I like the "ZERO" writing but the skull looks toy in my opinion.

And that other thing is straight wack. Looks clean though.

You have talent, just need to do a little bit more practice.

How about your little buddies in SPDST? Will they lend themselves to you?

I think you have a ways to go. the zero one should havent happened, the word Zero is kinda cool, but it looks so fake and weird I dont know something about it is just weird and the skull is silly looking the whole thing kinda looks like a random classroom doodle, just keep practicing you'll get it, I wouldnt go inking people yet. The other one of that random jason guy or whatever is pretty cool, dont see the point but its done well!

I like the Jason one, and I think the Zero one will look good once its finished.

The Zero skull would look nicer with a thicker outline. It looks like its coming together though man, good luck with it all..

the zero one is getting a thicker outline, plus Im not sure if I am going to line the writting in black, plus on top of that is going a graveyard scene with tomstones that look like skateboard and such. I figured I didnt do too bad conidering they are practice ones. The guy I was learning from did about the same quality work and had been doing it for 7 years

I think people are looking at them and thinking they dont look real (lots of shading and more complex, while I look at them and see that the way they are drawn (is that the right word) is what ryans style is, the jason one looks bolky and done in a block style rather than dark scary way. which is cool, have a feeling I know where the 13 comes from....

yeah Ive always had a different style of art, so far Ive already got a line of people wanting work. The pictures dont do the jason one justice at all, plus its not even close to done, its getting more shading and minor colour soon, it was just close to 8 hours sitting cross legged. Tattooing yourself leads to lots of cramping and weird angles.

I think that youve done a good job on tattooing. But im not too fond of the pics youve chosen to ink.

But I still think those look cool.. and the zero one will eventually look good on your leg when you finish it... and maybe get some more ink

That's a hell of a lot better than I could, it looks good to me. Maybe not the best tat I've ever seen, but still, far better than myself or anyone I know could do. Keep up with it, you clearly have talent.

pretty much all my ink will be music, movie, video game, comic and so on related. Its all stuff from growing up and shit. Ive never been one for japanese characters or tribal because it is strictly about how it looks (More so with tribal, but even half of the japanese kanji symbols dont mean what they say they do) . So I stick to what I know, I grew up surrounded by media so now I immortalize that

I mean to comment on this awhile ago, I plan on going to Canada eventuall (hopefully still filming with freak.inc) and the main thing I plan on doing is getting a tat done by ry, I honestly think they look awsome, the skull for the zero thing is at an odd angle so it looks lopsided but for people who have seen the real logo thats basically what it looks like, I don't see the need to nit pick to the exact proportions.

The jason one looks pimp as well but every one knows Michael Myers and Kruger are the best.

awesome work dude, once get get a few more under your belt you will find your groove and get real good. tattooing yourself can't be easy. the jason one is fuckin awesome.

My friend is doing the same thing practicing on himself and friends. I actoully let him do a skull with swords on my ass yesterday it came out pretty good

It's pretty good....not 'going through pain just for a skull and some swords to stay there forever on your ass' good...but more...bored in class doing a doodle good.

its just my ass no one will see it besides those I moon and fuck soo it didnt really matter to me and my friends whats to get into tats soo I let hime do it. but it did hurt haha I got one on my wrist which felt like nothing and I figured the asss wouldnt hurt but it did!
