This is the same shit a mate installed on my laptop after he fucked it by visiting tons of shitty sites.

Norton... regardless of what anyone else says... it does a good job.
I switched to AVG and removed Norton... within a matter of weeks I had to format, I guess it depends, I remember when I first got the internet on this comp... only Norton would stop Viruses...
I also use Spy Sweeper, for spyware, but still.

My reccomendation is Nod32, it's pretty much rated second in the world for virus protection with Kaspersky being the first. Either of these are great scanners and provided are kept up to date won't miss anything.
FYI; If you want Kaspersky's protection, download AOL's anti-virus software, it is completely free however is purely a rebranded Kaspersky.
The Mcafee suggestion is also a bad suggestion BTW, Mcafee is only a slight step up the ladder of shit from Norton.

nod32 fucked me over once, it would restart my computer, the annoyance went away once I uninstalled it.

yeah I use nod32 aswell its the way to go ive never had a problem with it
