My wireless provider is Cingular. I'm really interested in buying the new Motorola RAZR V3i. I am not ready for an upgrade until around 2008 so I'm not waiting til then so I gotta pay full price on it. Now, in the store, It's $450 for this phone. That's money I dont' wanna spend on a phone sooo, I went looking on ebay and I found some razr's on there brand new for like $190-$230. Are these really real and will they work with my phone or is this just a scam? They have BUY IT NOW which I like alot instead of bidding and stuff but I still don't understand some things. Like this:
QUAD BAND GSM PHONE (850/900/1800/1900MHZ):
WORKS WITH CINGULAR/AT&T/T-MOBILE (SIM NOT INCLUDED)
Quad Band GSM? And then all the MHZ? What is all of this? And what does UNLOCKED mean? Here are a few ebay pages I found and I need everyone to tell me if these are ok to buy.
eBay 1 eBay 2 eBay 3 And etc....They are almost all like this. I wanna know if these are ligit to buy from and if anyone has ever bought a cell phone off ebay. Please help!

They are from companys though so I think it might be real. I ordered my camera lens from a company through BUY IT NOW and I called them and all it was ligit. I don't trust the bidding part but from companys I kinda do.
Thanks though, If I keep getting more negative thoughts about this I probably won't buy it then.

forget about the razr. its shite. but buying from companys is kinda safe, cant tell with ebay but with some similar service here its safer than anything else

I didnt see that it was from the company. Is there a number you can call to see if they actually put their items on eBay? Cause it could be fraud.

my uncle bought a fone or 2 off ebay a few years ago... and they were exactly what he asked for... id email whoever you plan on buying from to make sure its legit though...

I'm really thinking about doing this. I don't know what the UNLOCKED means and im afriad I wont get good service for some reason casue It says it works with CINGULAR but not AT&T even though they combinded.

Unlucked means the phone was set to only be compatible with one network, but its been modified so that sim cards that are on other networks will work in it.

Is this good to trust though? Will I still get good service anywhere or will it be shitter?

Well you can't garuntee it will work because you're not supposed to unlock phones so theres a chance it may not work with your network.

yeah, aslong as you are buying from a seller with good feedback you should be good. My mum has got 2 or 3 phones off there in the past and all has been fine.
