Well, we are bored and we have nothing to film. Basically, I am looking for a good group who won't back down to a faceoff. Anyone down? We will think of the rules after we get the teams worked out...

Why is everyone so gay about faceoffs? No one likes to do them anymore? Man, It sucks that everyone is getting "bigger" and to good for alittle faceoff here and there. Old HGF was better... Image file not present in the recovered backup

Yeah, we are from jersey. We went to six flags a couple of months ago and wanted to drive to meet you guys but you never got back to us.

We should meet up and film some shit.

I don't mind faceoffs, well I love them.

Could be interesting to see Lunatiks vs BFD, or vs Critical Affliction.... or like a 3-way...... I'd say your all about the same style and stuff, yep.

Make it happen guys. :D

I really like faceoff's also. When I first came to HGF, everyone loved doing faceoffs and now everyone is like they are gay. It's so stupid. I really would like to vs. some team thats really good a known like All balls, delayed reaction, human maybe, or some other group that is well known. Critical Affliction isn't bad but no offense to BFD, good group, but I want a faceoff with groups who have been here longer. I know we aren't the best on here but we aren't bad compared to alot of groups now.

This is bascially the only way lunatiks ever film because there is nothing to do around where we live. There are no more ideas for us to do so we never go out. When we have assigned tasks, we go out and have fun and do them, thus why we joined the hunt. Now, the hunt is so gay, LOL. I don't know, seemed like old HGF people actually liked to go out and film and have fun, now it's all about being the best and most hardcore and everything.

I just don't want to commit to anything because even though we would probably film some stuff, wed quit half way through. plus nowadays, I never seem to like the tasks.

Forget about established teams doing face-offs. Maybe you can have luck with newer teams.

All the newer teams I have seen on here are horrible. I know that every group has to start somewhere and work their way up but we have been around for awhile and are pretty decent so I think we should be facing someone atleast with some kind of skill.

Besides, all the new groups look like they film with a webcam and they can't edit to save their life.

I know, thats why people got sick of faceoffs. And all the new groups are filming contents for their dvd, and they dont want to waste their time filming for a faceoff.

but I dunno, maybe u can get lucky and have a good team to make a faceoff.

Why do you need to face an "older" HG group TOM? most/all of them are saving for DVD's.

I mean its up to you but like a 3-way/4-way faceoff will be fun as hell to see, let some "less established" groups join in?.... :D

27 August 2006, 21:10 UTC#19
I can see why you would want to face off against a more established group, but it doesnt neccesarily matter who you face, the content will show how good you are as a group. You could have content that would beat a lesser group and lose to a more well known one, but people would still rate you the same based on the video you produce. Unless you want to use the fact that you are facing a good group to hype you up more and push yourselves to make a better video.

But anyways, I'd enjoy watching a faceoff.

Seriously meetups are better for footage than faceoffs.

When we met vode for the first times and went to film with him the footage turned out great.. and we actually filmed a lot of different stuff. We managed to get a 3½min mixup from 2sessions.(IN THE DVD) and a shorter one from fooling around at a shopping mall(allso in DVD) And the 2nd was atleast Marcs fav. part? maybe...

Actually it was more than 3½ minutes, as besides the section with only our co-op stuff, there was plenty of footage used e.g in intro.

And from one hanging out / drinking / filming session we got 3½ minute clip also, used in bonus features. But the conclusion is still the same, meetups=plenty of footage.

I dont know how many of these groups there are, but I'm in one of the situations where I'd film anything and want an awesome dvd but have no editing or technological skills AT ALL so im sitting on a pile of footage waiting to make a dvd, then wanting to film an actual amazing thing that I've so many plans for.. basically until I learn to edit (waiting on elements to come in the mail now) im kinda stagnant. our group doesnt suck, meet us in person and you've got a good time, but the technology part is what gets us (probably a bunch of groups like that). then again, skills at both editing and doing stunts are what makes a good HG group.

Dont forget about the skill of FILMING(+visual talent+angles)!! So many groups show lack in these areas.

Allso Creativity and good Acting makes a good HG group.

yeah thats true, overlooked that a little bit
of course camera angles (I think eventually you become consciously aware of how the shot is going to look I mean.. for some people when you're going to do a stunt or think up a stunt you're thinking about how its gonna look as footage as well as oh cool im gonna do this).
Our skits are usually being dumb and not doing stunts and just saying stupid things as opposed to acted out funny movies so I forgot about that!
creativity I just figured that in subconsciously without mentioning it (my bad!) but if you arent creative you arent much of an individual group at all hm?
good stuff.
and if anyone has any editing advice with adobe premeire elements certainly throw it this way if you could be bothered cause its eating away at me having all these visions and only ending up with footage cause I can't edit!
