Got this today and just watched it.
Damn great movie.
Hyvä hyvä, hyvä hyvä.
06 September 2006, 10:59 UTC#44
Just purchased this, but there was no box for me to put in my postage deatils and email in the message, so I am going to send a seperate email to j0nes I believe with all my information in. Just so you know, my email is [email address redacted], you can double check that when the email comes through anyway. Thanks a bunch guys.
06 September 2006, 11:13 UTC#45
Glad you liked it Zeke. I'm gonna check with j0nes today if he got your details Shaun. We'll send it out as soon as possible.
To the NTSC region people, I already PM'ed Rico about this, but I might as well tell it here as well. For some reason my dvd player was able to play the "NTSC" copies and it's not supposed to do that, so we're gonna have to check into it. We'll try to figure out a way to make this up to them who are waiting for an NTSC copy
06 September 2006, 11:50 UTC#46
Ben our Season 1 DVDs are supposedly PAL but people from the US who have bought them said they worked.
06 September 2006, 12:45 UTC#47
Thanks for the tip Dave, not that I don't believe you but are you sure that they didn't watch them with multiregion dvd players or playstations?
06 September 2006, 12:51 UTC#48
Yeah I think Boner said he watched his on his X-Box and someone else said they watched it on their computer so I maybe it is best to have PAL and NTSC versions but I just thought I'd say.
06 September 2006, 12:57 UTC#49
Ben you must be mixing up the region system and tv formats. Region system is done to intentionally to reduce dvd playing in other countries dvd players, because they dont want to imported dvd´s taking sale from theatre sales as most movies come little late e.g. in Europe.
NTSC - PAL are tv´s color systems and can cause problems, mainly not plaýing the dvd´s, but showing the picture properly. I would think its normal that your pal player can play ntsc dvd.
06 September 2006, 13:04 UTC#50
So TVs are the key!
06 September 2006, 13:07 UTC#51
So NTSC and PAL have nothing to do with the Regions?
Say a Region 1 DVD doesn't have to be a NTSC dvd necessarily?
These two things don't go hand in hand, is that what you're saying?
I've always thought this because I've always assimilated NTSC with Region 1.
This causes more trouble because I don't have a clue how to make DVD's of different regions.
Could it be possible that the default for a DVD burner is to burn in multiregion..?
06 September 2006, 13:19 UTC#52
Nothing to do with regions... basically. They kind of go hand in hand as I dont know why anybody would make dvd for north america, region1 I pressume, and not to make it in their tv format.
But ntsc and pal are tv formats that have been around way before dvds even existed. There are two big differences, the picture size and refresh frequency. The ntsc has refresh frequency of 60khz when pal has 50khz, some people who have used to the 60khz may see the diffencre in the tv image as little flashing. And ntsc is also bit bigger, that can be best seen in console games that have converted from ntsc coutnries to pal countries, picture has small black lines in top and bottom
I come to msn.

sweet, can't wait.
11 September 2006, 18:25 UTC#59
Can't be bothered to PM everyone so I'll just say it here: all international deliveries are on their way between Finland and the rest of the world.
The Americanos are getting their's in NTSC eventhough it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway as vode kindly taught me. Anywho, hope you'll all enjoy them! Thanks again Wilbur, Rico, Hips, Scott, Womp, Shaun and I can't come up with the last one, but thanks anyway

Muchos love
