Edit Other Groups Vids...

I had an idea, its prolly gonna seem shit to most of you but I just thought of it.

Someone edits a mixup of another groups vids in their own style of approx 1 minute long and posts it on youtube or whatever.
I think it'll be good to see how other people see other peoples footage and how it should be edited.

Well its only an idea lol.

Could be cool, I'm down for an editing competition though....

But unless you have the original footage, like not just clips in their videos, it'll be better, imo.

yeah a editing contest would be sweet, have people submit footage to use and zip it all up in a folder for people to edit

Yeah, I was thinking freestyled though, like, just use any footage you want...??

I plan on starting to edit alot more mixups anyways when I've cleared my computer out a bit.

Ive always wanted to do this but I'd only do this if I could edit footage from a GOOD group for a DVD.. only that way I'd be motived and make something awesome out of it. Offers?

Tho it's hard to edit "personal" footage from people you dont know IRL. Stunts and shit.. thats easy but you can't edit footage to show a groups "lifestyle" if you don't know them..

In my opinion footage should be edited only by the groups themselves. Collaboration is one thing, or lets say hgf promo, but but...´otherwise, you wouldnt go write the bible again with your own words?

LOELZ! But no.

So how are you planning to execute this plan? Groups that are willing to be in, submit clips that are compiled in to a zip folder that can be dl´ed? Then anybody who wants to edit, edits their own version of it? Will it be like compilation of clips by many groups, or just one?

I have no idea what you guys are on about now but the original idea was too edit groups footage into a mixup.... right?

If we have a good amount of people we should do it I think, should be fun.

I need to practise my editing a bit more so go on then I'll give it ago. I can edit any footage of anything yeh? or does it have to be stunts or a skit that I filmed?

It'd be pretty cool to have a bunch of the hgf groups submit raw footage and edit it all together for like a promo for HGF itself.. you could make it a competition as well... have everyone vote on the best after they have all been submitted

Yeah, theres been alot of talks about a proper promo like that, where everybody submits footage, just never gone ahead....

I was thinking it would be good to have loads of different groups edit sections for a HG DVD. Which is kinda the same... but not really..

well someone upload a zipped folder of about 3-5 minutes. I always edit our footage. It would be fun to edit others and see what I can do.
