Holy shit......

I loved this movie, it wasnt well written, parts were cheesy as hell. It should have been a terrible movie.

If you want to laugh your ass off, get a couple scares, see some decent gore, and watch Samuel L. Jackson kick a shitload of snake ass. This is your fuckin movie.

I highly recomend this movie.

Why does it feel like there's been so much hype around this movie compared to others?

Looks lame and I found the trailers hysterical...it's an all time low plot.

Boss-'Name something scary'
'Umm Snakes'
'Terrorists, Sir'
Boss-'Terrorist Snakes Bo Yaaaaa!'

Samuel L Jackson is badass no matter what kinda movie he does. I watched Coach Carter yesterday as well and The 51st State the day before that. He's a legend

It got a lot of attention because it's a higher budget b-movie on the big screen. Plus it was originally a PG13, but Internet spoofs and mass media attention helped make them decide to shoot more scenes including the one with the infamous line "Get these motherfucking snakes off this motherfucking plane!" (which was originally in one of the spoofs) to bump the film up to an R.

I can't wait to see it.

Yeah but that's just what I'm saying. It's been everywhere for months. Usually the average action/thriller movie get mentioned like a few weeks before and get like one week worth of tv time before the premiere.

I never expected it to be a serious movie, expecially how Samuel L Jackson promotes it.. always sarcastic. which makes me wanna see it.

Yeah, I've heard only good things. I guess Sammy J. signed on only because of the name of it, not reading the script or any of the screenplay. Then the producers tried to change the name to something lame like the plane name and Sammy made em' keep it with the name. There was a lot of hype about it and suddenly the website went up asking for dialogue suggestions and even parody songs. It's probably one of the most well-done promotions for any movie. Really, the on-line hype and the fact that Miramax stayed out of everything except providing funds and theaters saved it. Miramax even funded 5 days to go back and add scenes/dialogue to it to make it R like a month post-production. A really wise decision on their part and they'll definitely see some sales to compensate. I saw it, and have to give an A. It was a terribly funny movie. Horrible basis and plot, but well done nonetheless.
